Spoilers Daredevil: Born Again discussion thread

Now, didn't technically FIsk kill his wife? He was deflecting the object meant to kill him, but in his fury, didn't see how the impact would have killed his wife.

I thought Bullseye was thrown off his game by Matt, so that was why Fisk had a chance to defend himself.

I don't exactly have a handle why Matt would want to to protect Bullseye?
A one time thank you for saving his life a couple episodes earlier?

Bullseye was off by doing a stupid thing and going head on against an entire hall full of agents shortly after Daredevil beat the shit out of him, that was simply a dumb move. If he wanted to be efficient he could hve "just" sniped him from a distance like he did with those AVTF agents when he saved Matt earler.

The reason why Daredevil/Matt helps Bullseye get away is his faith and moral code. Matt doesn't believe in killing like Frank does, he'll go out of his way to save someone even at great personal cost. He will beat the shit out of villains, close to death once he enters his rage but he wont kill because "Thou shall not kill".

Exactly. It's the same reason he's stopped Bullseye from killing Kingpin last season. This is DD's line in the sand: he stops killers, he doesn't become one. Which is why he briefly called it quits after throwing Bullseye off that rooftop last season. He came close to killing someone on purpose, and that was enough to make him hang up his cowl for a while.

Plus, more recently, he had just promised that young priest at the church that he wouldn't kill Bullseye, only hours before the boxing match. And, as far as DD is concerned, letting the Kingpin and his men kill Bullseye would be the same thing--if he was in a position to save him.
