Spoilers Daredevil: Born Again discussion thread

This question may not be answerable right now, but I'm still going to ask it: does anybody know for sure whether the character of Kirsten is in Season 3?
I don't think we've heard anything yet about who is or isn't coming back for Season 2 beyond Matt and Fisk.

Oh yeah, I forgot about those pictures.

Those same set photos also reveal that Sheila Rivera is taking over as mayor. Although we didn't see her in the trailer, Zabryna Guevara revealed on social media that she will be returning in season 3.

Oh I don't think I ever saw those pictures.
We also saw her in the trailer for Brand New Day.

The writers are doing a great job of making me root for Fisk. I'm a couple of episodes into the second season, and I'm team Fisk.

I just didn't connect with this season. I'm not sure why, "It's not you, it's me". But I preferred the previous season to this. This season felt too busy, I didn't totally buy the plot and I didn't buy Bullseye turning a new leaf. I also felt it took things to a point of no return for some aspects of the show and characters. I liked the status quo from before. Fisk should be in prison. Fisk and Matt in prison together would be great.

...and I didn't buy Bullseye turning a new leaf.
Dario Scardapane addressed this in one of the podcasts and I agree with his take: Bullseye hasn't turned over a new leaf, rather he sees himself, in his mad sick way, as a hero. Kingpin's vigilante crusade convinces Bullseye of this because he's a vigilante and therefore that must mean he's heroic.

With that in mind, I can see why he feels like he needs to "balance the scales. Which, of course, is a perverted way of looking at justice and he doesn't actually listen to Matt's perspective on justice.

I also felt it took things to a point of no return for some aspects of the show and characters. I liked the status quo from before. Fisk should be in prison. Fisk and Matt in prison together would be great.
I'm not sold on that ending either but I'm going to keep an open mind for season 3 when we learn the extent of Kingpin's "freedom." Which circles back to my earlier posts about how I cannot see the New York attorney general making a deal for someone who committed multiple counts of cold-blooded murder in plain view.

What an awful season. My wife asked me: where did all of the good writers go?

There are so many things that didn't make any sense.

I have no idea why BB is still alive by the end of the season.

The psychologist is shown screwed up, but we never get any more out of her character.

And Bullseye didn't do much more than kill a bunch of people.

The "good" guys all end up in jail at the end.

The protesting and AVTF were a bit much too.

Bringing back Foggy for a flashback episode really showed how stupid it was of them to kill off his character. He was the heart of the show.

And Fisk is chilling out at the beach.

What a mess of a season.

Can we make Marvel shows good again?

Just for fun, this showed up in my YouTube feed today nice and legal and free with ads. The Trial of The Incredible Hulk, featuring the first ever live action appearances of Matthew Murdock (Rex Smith) and Wilson Fisk ( John Rhys-Davies). Also: first ever live action cameo from Stan Lee. (starting at 43:17).

ETA: Just realizing that the three actors that have portrayed Wilson Fisk are comprised of John Rhys-Davies, Michael Clarke Duncan and Vincent d'onofrio. That's some serious star power.

Weird. For some reason my browser can't play that specific video (literally "Your browser can't play this video") but there's no issue with YouTube's website itself. Just this video.

For anyone who can't or doesn't want to watch it on Youtube both Trial and the first Bixby/Ferigno movie, The Incredible Hulk Returns, which costarred Eric Kramer as Thor and Steve Levitt as Donald Blake, are both available to watch on the free streaming service Tubi. Thor and Blake's appearances in Return and Daredevil and Kingpin's appearances in Trial were meant to set up potential series that never happened.

I get that same message when I try to play it directly from here at the bbs, but not directly from the app. Did you try going directly to youtube?

It says age restricted for me and only available through the app.

Just had a chance to check it via YouTube directly and it played just fine. So I guess it's an embedding issue, perhaps due to licensing?
