Foggy survived the attack and went into witness protection. That said, it's a tough sell that Matt was fooled into thinking Foggy was murdered but even the original Netflix series had bigger stretches so it wouldn't be so weird.
Which I think would be an acceptable way of handling it without being to comic-y.
But if the witness protection program went into the operation knowing that they had to fool Daredevil, I can see them coming up with some sort of Stark or Rand techno babble to fool his senses.
If they were going to bring Foggy back something like that would be the best way to do it, any of the usual comic book magic or high tech resurrections would just feel out of place. Even though it's set more solidly in the MCU with all of Iron Man suits, and magic, and aliens, the first season made it pretty clearly they're still trying to keep it more street level and grounded.

And that would be the exact thing i was talking about when i mentioned some convoluted comic-y reason to bring someone back from a comicbook "death". Every story device you use too often diminishes in return until it becomes counterproductive, which was the case with me when this trope put me off mainstream superhero comics for good.
That's a little more sci-fi than I would go with, but it would at least be better than full on aliens or magic. The Foggy who died is a LMD
Something like that would work for me, there are plenty of ways to do that kind of thing that would still fit in the grounded approach they've been taking.

So from the clip, is there some kind of high frequency sound weapon being used to mess-up Matt's hearing?
Which makes me think of that Daredevil knockoff from The Boys where Homelander just busts his eardrums.

It's a magical placeFoggy just went to Tahiti.
