Didn't know if this was a hint or maybe a tease but Ellen mentions she can't remember the name of the song playing while she's talking to our "mystery person".

Well they just showed the opening scenes - I'm watching it a bit delayed - and the hallway they show looks like Patty's building's hallway we saw last season.

Guess I was wrong about the hallway. Maybe Ellen moved into the same building?

Looks like Ellen's new boyfriend brought some props home from the set of Hitman.

I just finished season 2. The last episode was extra long. I didn't think I'd enjoy this season as much as the first, and I didn't. The story wasn't as focussed or as compelling. No surprise there. This wasn't the kind of show that necessarily needed to be a long-running series. It was still fun to see Patty and Ellen though, so I'll be back for season 3. Looks like they'll become rivals of some sort. Then there's Frobisher. He'll be back too, and back to his old ways. ...with an environmentally friendly twist.

Spoiler: Finale

Ellen didn't shoot anyone and the FBI agents turned on her. They were going to arrest her for bribing a judge but the US Marshals arrested the FBI Agents and the head of the Energy Commission for the State of New York. Patty deduced that Ellen had turned on her and had actually arranged for Ellen's arrest, but it was setup because Tom Shay's sister was a DA. Patty has cut everyone out of her life except for Tom as evidenced by the final scene. Purcell went to prison for the death of his wife except he didn't kill her - ultima national did. Patty Hewes was stabbed by an energy trader because she renounced her deal with him for information and wouldn't reoffer it. Patty survived. Ellen was considering taking a job at a rival law firm in the final scenes.
