CW The Flash Season 7 trailer!

I just kept looking at his ears. It’s weird enough for a chap to have them pierced but two different ear rings? Must be a future thing. :)

So, does Iris get to keep her Speed Force Boost from "Speed Force Nana"?

When the lightning swords came out, I thought of the scene from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back in which Chris Rock sees the laser swords on set and says "I think George Lucas gonna sue somebody". Also, when August Heart betrayed the team I thought of the Firefly line, "Curse your sudden, but inevitable, betrayal." It was great that Barry and Iris planned for that scenario..
I'm glad Barry & Iris are learning and not leaving gaps in their planning.

So Bart said "that's so crash", Only ever heard that used by him in Young Justice, is that from the comics or another animated series?
I looked online and didn't find it used elsewhere in that sense, so I think it is originally from YJ. So the writers borrowed "schway" from Batman Beyond and "crash" from Young Justice. Nice tribute to those shows and their connections to the future.

When Barry showed Thawne just how much faster he is now... Just how was "slow" Thawne even able to keep up with the Godspeed who was even super-sped up?

Maintaining the Speed-Force Sabers must've prevented them from fighting at Super Speeds.

Why else would we have wasted the season finale on Speed-Force Sabers.

Some thoughts (stream of consciousness form): I guess they left the door open for future appearances by Cavanaugh (realistically, I understand why they had him appear as Thawne, I'm thinking due to the pandemic and impracticality of flying-in Matt Letscher.) I'm trying to think of an in-universe reason for him keeping the Wells face, other than stabbing Team Flash in the hearts again.

I can't think of a good in-show reason either, but I like seeing Tom whenever.

I couldn't help it - I yelled "LIGHTNING LIGHTSABERS!"

This led to my hubby saying why that wouldn't work and I replied that the writers were obviously planning this out and someone said "LIGHTNING LIGHTSABERS!" and everyone said "That would look SO COOL!" except this one person they all told to get out of the room.

I think they were unsure, given COVID, when or even if they were coming back, so they blew the SFX budget and had a lovely ending (I miss Cisco!) but also left enough threads for season 8 if needed.

Yeah, I dug that.

It’s good to remember that Tom Cavanagh was originally cast to play the Reverse Flash. He has told the story how originally the producers were secretive when he was first offered the role and only told it was being a “Mentor” and he was not interested at all. So to convince him to do it they fessed up and revealed it was the big bad role, the RF and than he was convinced.

Originally Harrison Wells was just going to be a fake name that Eobard Thawne used to operate in modern day. Casting Matt Letscher as the “real Thawne” was decided deep into season 1. I thought he was good in the role but Tom is who really plays the character and has the chemistry with Grant. Also probably helps that he is native Canadian. Does not have to quarantine like visiting American actors.

I just find him confusing. The entire final arc felt like there were episodes missing to it.

Probably because it's the climax of a mystery arc they've been doling out piecemeal for years, so between that and the COVID delays, it's hard to remember the earlier installments.

Another thing... I thought the depiction of Fuerza was a little too reminiscent of the Incredible Hulk.
Sorry if this has already been discussed. I didn't read much of this thread, since I was trying to avoid spoilers.
