CW The Flash Season 7 trailer!

This happens to me every season... By the time I realize a new season is airing, it's already well into the season, and CW only has the last few episodes available for streaming, so I can't watch from the beginning. I just have to wait until some time next year whenever Netflix adds it. :scream:

You probably could check in here on the BBS to see when a season starts :)

Netflix usually adds the season like a week after the finale.

I was going to say something similar. I am not trying to seem like a jerk and be critical but there are many ways to learn when the season starts. Most of all with Covid delaying production the season started months later. You had a lot of extra time to learn when.

Cool, I won't have to wait too long, then. I didn't look in this thread until the other day because the title made it seem to be about just the trailer, and not the actual season.

Yeah. We’ve asked for the title to be changed. It’s my fault since I started discussion in it as I didn’t want to start a new thread. Seemed wasteful.

Was that the same interior they used for the bank in Superman and Lois?

Bart Allen?!

I’m confused. I thought the point of the end of season 5 was that Nora was erased from the timeline. I assumed that meant they were going to do the tornado twins.
Also, Bart is Barry’s son? The timeline is seriously messed up. :)

So in the ArrowVerse, the GL ring gives you headaches if you don’t follow it’s instructions?

This is the kind of episode where I'm mad that they wasted the first half of the season on that speed force family nonsense. That story could have easily been told in 5 episodes, and here I feel like they skipped an episode. They keep talking about this war and how bad it's gotten, but we really didn't get to see how bad it has gotten. They reveal that Iris is impacted by the Speed Force somehow (I think?) but they didn't really show what they could have shown. This is the type of episode that made me enjoy Flash in the early going because it involves speedsters, the Flash mythology, and Time Travel. I also really enjoyed Diggle, and having not seen Batwomen, they did a good job showing what he is going through, even though I wonder if they are trying to set up Ramsey's own Green Lantern series (Or so I hear that speculation that Diggle is Green Lantern). Still, this episode reminded me so much of the connectivity of the Arrowverse, yet I feel like we should have gotten so much more.

I'm confused about Nora too.

Billions of subtly different timelines can have an identical Nora.

Which is stupid if you are familiar with sperm.

Power Ring from Earth III's Crime Syndicate.

The ring allowed super powers in exchange for madness and suicide.

Or at least that was the early 2000s Grant Morrison version of Power Ring.

Probably just a coincidence.

They surprised me here. These past two episodes felt like they were rewritten around Candice Patton's unavailability, with clumsy references to Iris being offscreen and Cecile doing exposition about what Iris found in Nora's journal, as if that scene were written for Iris and rewritten for Cecile. But then Iris showed up after all and her absence turned out to be an important plot point. I suspect they faked us out on purpose, at least those of us attuned to thinking about how shows write their way around actor absences.

But it's confusing -- how could Barry think Iris was just sick in the next room if she was actually in the Speed Force? How was Cecile communicating with her? I guess the implication is that she really was there before and only belatedly got taken into the SF, but they could've clarified the timing.

The version of Nora that they knew was erased from the timeline, since they undid the future she came from, but they hoped they would eventually conceive a new version of her, since fictional alternate timelines tend to produce the same individuals no matter how much history changes. (As Lex Luthor said in Crisis, "The Multiverse has a way of aligning fates.")

Or maybe it was the Crisis itself that changed things. The recreated Earth-Prime seemed to reflect the desires of the Paragons and the Spectre/Oliver. Oliver's dead loved ones were alive again, Diggle and Lyla had both their kids, the Earths were merged so Barry and Kara could hang out more often, Kate Kane got a version of Beth back (though it didn't last), etc. So maybe Barry's wishes included a future where Nora lived again.

This episode definitely gave us a lot more interesting stuff with Diggle than we got on Batwoman. It looks like not taking a Green Lantern ring when you're chosen is a bad idea. Could anybody hear what the voices were saying when Diggle got the headache while he was fighting the Godspeed? I couldn't make them out.
I was a disappointed they killed of Esperanza, I was really hoping her and Allegra would get a happy ending.
Did something happen that Candice Patton can't be on? First we didn't see her at all last week, and then when she shows up this week, it's for one scene to tell us she won't be around.
The stuff with the Godspeed War was OK. I wonder if this will finally tie things up with them/him once and for all?

The voices said "worlds await".

I liked this episode. It was great seeing Diggle again. He brings a certain gravitas to the episode. And we get more information on what is going on with the godspeeds. This episode definitely moved the plot forward. And I loved the ending with Nora and Bart. Bart's introduction was great. You could tell a lot about his personality just from his brief appearance. I think having Nora and Bart around is going to be a ton of fun. And the trailer for the finale did tease another big fan favorite speedster returning. I feel like the finale is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

So none of them were surprised to see Jay? Is his earth also merged with earth prime?
They probably already knew. Makes sense since that’s what Crisus did in the comics. More so than this Norah thing.
Anyone else thinking that Godspeed is an older Bart?

That finally felt like early seasons Flash. It was personal, urgent, and the emotional pep talks hit the spot. I really wish we had Cavanagh though but maybe he will show up next week. Cisco coming back was my favorite part, and they tried to explain the whole Nora dying but still here thing. I’m still confused about Iris though and the still force. It’s one of the main reasons why I wish this storyline started sooner, like immediately after Cisco left or after Cecile’s episode. They really spent way to long this season on the force family and watching this storyline makes me wish what could have been.
I think this is the first time I’ve felt Flash have a strong storyline and not feel filler since maybe Savitar. I still want the show to end soon but damn it felt good to see some semblance of first and second season Flash come back.

Unless the west and Kramer story goes somewhere shocking in the finale (like how they survived a car explosion), that feels like a forgettable storyline.
