I'm so fucking tired of the Mirror Master/Mirror Iris bullshit. I hope that wraps up quickly, but I'm sure it will last half the damn season.

Wasn't that storyline meant to wrap up by the end of last season, just that little virus got in the way of completing the arc? I bet however many episodes were left to film will be the amount of time that story lasts into the new season. At least the main part with Iris stuck in the mirror.

Have they started filming new content do we know? I hope a plus with this delay is they can really polish those scripts before production begins/began.

Ok, that makes sense now that I think about it. I think they only had 2-3 episodes left last season, right? Hopefully they don't stretch it out much past that.

My only concern is that they may figure that since they have the guest actors back to finish things, they may decide to continue aspects of it (if they want). If that's the case, I hope it at least feels like a new direction, even if using some of the old threads.

But we won't know until we see. Agreed that the storyline outstayed it's welcome.

By the way, I think the Flash Panel is today at 6pm ET on DCFandome.com

Nice, maybe that will help clear up some of the plans for the season!

They held back the last completed episode of the previous season. They did not think it’s ending would be a good way to leave us hanging. So that is what this trailer is made from. The show has not returned to film were they left off yet.

The big mystery is Hartley Sawyer who filmed that unaired episode before he was fired.

I wouldn't be against keeping Eva McCulloch/Mirror Master around as the villain, but I definitely want to see them get Iris out of the Mirror World, that was story was already starting to get stretched pretty thin.

not sure but there was an article on the news here a couple of weeks back but tv production in Vancouver had hit a snag with argy-bargy between the unions representing the U.S based cast and the B.C based unions representing the on-set crew regarding covid testing.

From the panel, the footage we see in the trailer is from season 6, episode 20 which was the last episode they filmed before the covid shutdown. Episode 20 will become the season 7 premiere.

The panel did not reveal much.

Supernatural did start filming this week. A deal with the union seems to have been made. Not sure if that will be needed to be done for each individual series. But shows it can happen.

Yeah, I'd be fine with Mirror Master herself coming back, its the plot around Iris, Mirror Iris and the Mirror World specifically that has worn out its welcome for me.

I think what would be pertinent is if Elongated man has an accident and becomes Elongated woman.

That's giving the victims of Hartly's abuse representation.

Just a question of whether your casting a transwoman or a siswoman?

A sis woman would be more comfortable complaining about not being a man any more?

What does that mean for Sue?

"I'm bi, and I fell for you as a person."

"I've always been gay, and you were never going to get anywhere with me."

"I'm still straight, and I don't have to deal with this, we're just going to be friends."

There is a new interview with the show runner explaining how they are going to deal with Ralph without Hartley Sawyer. To avoid spoilers they are being VERY vague. SPOILERS still though -

It appears there will be a recasting to help resolve Sue Dearborn being framed for murder. The character will be written out of the show in the short term. With the potential for Ralph to return later on. But presumably not played by Hartley?? That is the vague part. Not sure if who they introduce to resolve current arc will be permanent recast. Or more of a special effect?

Natalie Dreyfuss IS staying on the show as Sue. But with a new arc minus Ralph. At least for now.

Yeah, I really liked what they were setting up there.
The whole interview is kind of weird, I don't understand why recast the character, but are still writing him out. If they were going recast, then couldn't they have just recast a new regular so they could stick to the original plan?
This almost kind of makes me wonder they are open to the possibility of bringing Hartley Sawyer back once things have calmed down around his old Tweets. Or maybe they have someone else in mind to recast him as, but they weren't able to get them yet, so they got a filler one time actor for his one appearance this season?
