I'll probably end up getting the trades one of these days. Comics are expensive and I have no money

I'd recommend it. I was like you, pretty much dismissing the comics as unnecessary, but i decided to take a chance on the first Legacy TPB and found it to be extremely good. Although KOTOR is far better imo, Dark Times is alright and the less said about Rebellion the better really.

The books will always be the primary continuation for me, but the comics are worth reading too.

Present in terms of the continuing adventures of Luke, Han, and Leia I should say. But you are right, Legacy is the future. At the same time though there is such a wide gap between Legacy and LOTF and FOTJ, there is a lot of space to fill up.

I would also recommend checking out the Legacy TPBs. They might be at your library. I love the series. I think its the best SW comic since Republic.

Luke died somewhere between the novel series and the comic book series. But everybody's dead by the comic series since it takes place a century after the OT!

He's definitely dead in the Legacy comics because he shows up as a Force ghost. Artoo is still kicking around though.

There are actually a couple of hold overs from the Old Republic/Clone Wars era that are still kicking around. We've seen Luke's Force Ghost. So far, the fate of Han and Leia remains unknown though I think its a pretty safe bet to assume they are dead.

Han flew the Falcon into the wreckage from the Star Forge, which partially survived its "destruction" thousands of years prior due to the interference of the Chiss. The intense Force energy and the melding between the Falcon and the Star Forge remains, caused Solo to become permanently cybernetically integrated into the Falcon.

Leia's a force ghost and hangs out onboard the Han Falcon. So is Chewie.

This would almost be perfect wank, but it needs lightsabers and Mandalorians, and either an Imperial Warlord or a Dark Jedi.

No, it's not from Legacy it's sort of from the comic Visionaries. Visionaries was a bunch of short comics put together by the concept artists from ROTS and one of them did Imperial Recruitment, which was just these types of posters, buxom weapon enticing you to sign up. The three pictures above aren't in Visionaries but were done by the same artist and placed online.
