Curious -- what is Jonathan Frakes up to nowadays?

I was reading an article on Genie Francis and she said they are living in So California right now.. temporarily. She is just finished another stint on GH and is now doing a second The Note movie for Hallmark. She said Jonathan was also working on something. He is scheduled to be at an event in California next month. He is the one I am most looking forward to meeting!

It's always been my hope that he (and mayby LeVar Burton) are placed in charge of Trek for TV while JJA remains in command of feature films. Frakes always seemed to have a great handle on what Trek and its characters are all about. Burton has done a very good job as director of a few Trek episodes as well. They would make excellent choices for co-executive producers of the next series.

Leave Star Trek as only a feature film franchise for awhile until another live action television show is launched.
I would not mind in the slightest if we just had the feature film franchise for Star Trek, and not another live action show for another 12 years from now to build a new fan base and allow viewer anticipation to grow again.

In addition to the 3rd Librarian installment, he directed 2 episodes of Leverage.

He's also producing (and/or directing) a movie.
Everyone in those photos look so happy and so full of camaraderie, it's great. Also: Armin Shimmerman, yay!
One downside: I hope that's the closest that Dean Devlin *ever* gets to Star Trek.
I have no idea what Jonathan is up to. When I spoke to him at ComicCon I didn't ask him. He was, however, as nice and personable as you'd want him to be. I made a very respectful, nice coment about his wife, and it was easy to see that he is very much in love with her.
I mentioned that I was sorry he didn't direct more Trek. He is very aware of the shortcomings of Nemesis.
