Cumberbatch in Trek 3

Khan 2.0

Commodore
Commodore
appearing on Graham Norton asked if he will be appearing in the next Star Trek movie.

do I detect a Khan cameo on the horizon?

Re: Cuberbatch on Trek 3

I think you mean...

a KHANMEO

I'm all for more Khan. Perhaps he'll wish to impart some... oh, I don't know... wrath?

Probably better suited for Trek 4 or 5 than a deep space 5-year mission adventure. Or a Liam-Neeson-in-Dark-Knight-Rises supershort cameo, taunting Kirk as the superblood drives him further and further over the edge...

He already stated a while back that, if written properly, he wouldn't mind a return to Khan.

As for the 'no comment' line, people read to much into that. It doesn't mean yes, as some people seem to asume. It can mean so many things. It could mean he was approached but can't talk about it. It means they already called him and said, FYI, no Khan in this one, but please don't tell anyone. It could mean that he himself simply doesn't feel like talking about Khan/Star Trek, and simply says no comment.

He said "no comment" to a possible Star Wars role too which he was caught out on as he showed visible surprise when asked if he was going to be a storm trooper so I think it's very possible he is in both in some capacity. I hope not just a cameo in Trek 3.

He continues to invade my fandom. He is unstoppable. He is like the Borg. Resistance appears to be futile.

Shooting on a new "Sherlock" special is supposed to begin in January, and the rest of the new season will be shot later that year in 2015. So, it seems to me he'd have a conflict with the shooting of ST03.

"No comment," is also a far more fun way to answer a question like that than it is to give a straight answer.

I couldn't give a stuff if he's in the next Trek movie. I don't care if he's in Star Wars VII. I really have no interest in anything he does.

As long as he carries on doing Sherlock...

I love BC but its best they leave Khan behind once and for all . trek 3 to me should be about going back to the roots of why trek needed a reboot. into darkness was a step back for me so no no more khan.

The danger in bringing Cumberbatch back is his presence could overshadow the importance of the ostensible main stars of the film.

Only to be ultimately revealed as one of the most dastardly of combinations
KesLix, a twisted Nelix/Kes combo
. Who will rip the very fabric of Star Fleet with their kindness and diabolical niceness.

He actually would have made a good Q.

Probably better suited for Trek 4 or 5 than a deep space 5-year mission adventure. Or a Liam-Neeson-in-Dark-Knight-Rises supershort cameo, taunting Kirk as the superblood drives him further and further over the edge...
