with Sherlock, Hamlet and Dr. Strange I can't see room in his schedule to return, honestly
He'll just have a little cameo where he appears on a view screen chat to help the Big Bad Villain through a crisis.
Maybe Khan will join the Enterprise crew. Then, whenever the captain leaves the bridge, he could say "You have the Khan."
