That's what I thought... Isolinear chips had another purpose. But I still need to know what to use for data storage. Would that box thing I mentioned in my last post work?
Isolinear optical chips are the primary software and data storage medium employed throughout the Enterprise comupter systems. ... Isolinear chips can ruggedized with the application of a tripolymer sealent over the refractive interface surface. This allows the chip to be handled without protective gloves. When so treated, isolinear chips are used as a convitent form of information transport. Many portable data handling devices such as tricorders, PADDs and optical readers are able to read and write to standard format isolinear chips.
Isolinear optical chips (or just Isolinear chips) are data storage devices utilized in various forms of technology. They are used to store memory in Starfleet PADDs, and are a primary component of Danube-class runabouts computers. (TNG: "A Fistful of Datas", DS9: "The Jem'Hadar")

I'd just have Geordi (or whoever) "invent" or construct a device he can hook Data up to. There's no need for the exsistance of such a device to already be established just make one up! That's the beauty of trek, and fiction.
Or, since I can't think of much evidence to suggest that such a thing dosen't exsist, suggest Data has a port located somewhere on him removable media.
Er, I'll leave it to you to decide where this port is located.
"Now, commander, if you will just pull down my trousers..."
"Whoa... No thanks, Data. It's all you, man. Good luck!"
