Crossovers

Abaddon

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
I've been thinking a bit about the temporal cold war in star trek universe and the great time war in whoverse and wondering about the possibility of feasibly combining events.
Since the doctor does a fairly good job of keeping alien activities on earth from us I was thinking there's a possibility of making this work. They don't really go into detail about human governing bodies in our future in whoverse simply saying that we basically end up getting around and breeding all over the known universe.
What if Crewman Daniels is actually the Doctor?... I did notice the face of boe on a Vulcan temple wall yesterday. .. 8 don't think it's totally implausible is the same universe.
What do you guys think?

No, the two conflicts are completely different. The Temporal Cold War was about various time-travel capable races in the Trek universe disagreeing on how or even if time travel could be regulated and controlled. The Time War was strictly combat between the Time Lords and Daleks with time itself as their battlefield. There's no way they can be combined into the same conflict.

What if the United Federation of Planets if fighting in the Time War, but to preserve itself rather than have the Earth Empire and later Human Empires exist like in the Doctor's timelines.

I was thinking what if the trek timeline up to the temporal wars did do something drastic to preserve themselves, giving themselves genetic boosts maybe an extra heart even and afterwards moved to gallifrey and allowed the altered earth's past to progress hoping to prevent another time war.
Which brings me to a junction I'm not sure has been addressed.
How is it possible the time lords didn't see the great time war coming and male changes to correct it. I always felt the majority were corrupt... am I missing something?

Actually, it is quite implausible. There's no way to take the entire Trek universe and reasonably fit it into the DW universe. So many things in the DW universe contradict Trek history it's not even worth trying (Not to mention the fact that Star Trek has actually been referenced in DW a few times already). Now, a crossover is still reasonable, given it acknowledges that the two universes are separate. In fact, comic publisher IDW recently did just that with their ST/DW crossover series.

I just want to see a crossover between Doctor Who & Red Dwarf. And a season where the Doctor keeps running into various duplicates of Donna Noble, all of which are various characters from The Catherine Tate Show.

BTW, since I've seen the trailers for DC's Legends of Tomorrow, I keep thinking, "Rory's got a time machine!" Somehow I feel like he should run into the Doctor at some point. Or maybe...
he runs into Clara & Me in their flying diner!

Even if you ignored the vast differences in laws of physics between each of these franchises for the sake of a fun episode(s), for that to happen, an interdimensional crossover would be needed. And didn't some 2005-onward Doctor Who episode establish that the DW multiverse is no longer prone to travel between parallel universes?

That was due to the Time Lords being gone. That does not seem to be the case anymore, though they have not gone universe jumping all that much anyway.

The Time Lords might be back, but they are currently trying to stay hidden. Although I guess that could be an impetus to start up travel through the multiverse again.

What if plot twist, captain archer and Sam in quantum leap are literally the same guy archer just got kidnapped by time travelers and stuck in the. .. Uhm... time vortex.

Given that DW is a show frequently about changing history (or not), and has often contradicted its own future history, squeezing the Trekverse in is not that big of a problem. Star Trek having been established as fictional in the DW universe might be, except for the facts that a) there's already been a story establishing a realm in which fiction is real, and b) DW itself has been established as fictional within the DW verse as well!

I know! !! I thought the same thing :D

I've never seen any of those three
Assuming you're referring to Paternoster Gang, Ripper Street, and Murdoch Mysteries by "those three."

Paternoster Gang isn't a show at all, it's the name of the team consisting of Madame Vastra, Jenny Flint and Strax the Sontaran, as seen in the Doctor Who episodes A Good Man Goes to War, The Snowmen, The Crimson Horror, The Name of the Doctor, and Deep Breath.

Ripper Street is a BBC series set in the aftermath of Jack the Ripper's murder spree.

Murdoch Mysteries is a Canadian crime drama set in Toronto of the early 1900s.
