I've watched it a few times now and I love the way Grant throws the curtain open to set it off. It is nice to see Cress cracking up because he doesn't get to do that a lot on his show.That is awesome.

Contradicting what many seem to "believe", not only did the higher ups at WB know about the DCEU Flash part of the crossover, they were the ones that asked for the inclusion after the episodes were done! Doesn't get more official than this:
"I got a phone call from [Warner Bros. boss] Peter Roth saying, 'I know you’re locked, but can you put Ezra into the crossover?' And I said, 'Yes.' And he said, 'How, you’re series wrapped? And you’re wrapped on the crossover.' And I said, 'Yeah, I know, but if you’re telling me Ezra Miller can be in the crossover, I can make it happen.'"

Yes, I posted about that on Wednesday in post #617 of this thread. I don't recally anyone saying they didn't believe WB knew about it or that it wasn't official. Of course it's official; every professionally released work of fiction is officially authorized by the studio that owns the property, and everything in it has to be approved at multiple levels. But that's not about continuity. The same studio can release different versions of a property that contradict or ignore each other, which is how we got a screen DC multiverse in the first place.
As I said, asking for Miller's inclusion was just about publicity and cross-promotion, not continuity. They're trying to build fan goodwill for their Flash movie, most likely.
