Create Your Own ENDGAME

I was going to post this in another endagme thread but thought it warranted its own thread. I am rewatching Voyager at the moment (s5 so far) and was thinking about how they should of changed ENDGAME but with keeping the basics of what we got and came up with this...

* Seven should of never mentioned the transwarp hub in earlier episodes.

* Original timeline USS Voyager gets home after 15 years but there celebrations are cut short as 1 year later The Borg using a new device known as a transwarp hub launches a ful scale invasion of the Alpha Quadrant.

* No Chakotay/Seven romance but keep the sub plots of her death before they get home and Tuvok's illness. Also only Janeway, Doc & now Captain Kim are the only ones left in future rest died in Borg conflict.

* 4 years later (20 since VOY return) The Borg are in control of most of the Alpha Quadrant but the Federation and its allies have one last trick up there sleeve, which is to change history using the same tech as in the original ENDGAME script. The plan would be the feds know where the transwarp hub was built and to stop it from ever being put online.

* I would of had only 1 transwarp hub because I would of made it so The Borg built it in that Nebula because that system there in is on some sort of unquie subspace breach (only one of its kind known to the borg) making the technology work.

* While testing this device The Borg attack leaving Janeway with no option to use the time travel device so basically same scene we saw in Endgame just change the Klingon ship for Borg.

* Admiral Janeway tells the crew of what will happen and that they are near the currently being built Transwarp Hub, which will be finished in several years but used in 9 years time to invade the Alpha Quadrant and help the Borg dominate the entire Galaxy.

* Janeway helps modify Voyager with new technology that was built in the future but they never had time to fully Implment so partial armour not full (cover key area's like bridge, naccells, warp core and bits of it here and there over ship hull). Also ways to boost the shields to work injunction with the armour. Increase phaser power and photon torpedoes by a several factors of power.

* The plan would be to make the sub space breach collaspe so the transwarp hub would be usless and in return Admiral Janeway knows how they could generate a temporary sub space tunnel to EARTH using the transhub tech and the subspace breach using tech from the future she has brought before the hub fully collaspes.

* Voyager enters the nebula and a harder battle then what we see in the original script but they win with most ease due to the 20 year advanced tech and The Borg are just not expecting some one to attack them either. However the new installed Tech which was already having some issues being installed on a older ship (voy) and its experimental remember begins to malfunction so they are forced to retreat.

from then on could have pretty much the same script Admiral Janeway comes up with a new plan sacrificing hereself and in the process infecting The Borg with a virus which gives Voyager just enough edge to destroy the transwarp Hub. I would change a few things like the virus used didn't work against the Borg in the future but being 20 years behind now is the reason it damages them enough to allow the plan to work.

So Voyager generates the transwarp tunnel needed to get home pursued by a Borg Sphere where VOY tricks it into tractoring them inside and blowing up from the inside out and emerges in the EARTH SOL SYSTEM. Dunno if I would end it flying home or maybe with the crew on earth dunno ?.

what you think and any ideas on how you would of ended VOYAGER ?

Honestly, I would have made a totally different episode. No C/7, no Borg, no time-jumps or reset buttons, no future Admiral Janeway.

The end episode should have been a two-parter with a final showdown with the female Caretaker in which Kes should have returned (maybe with some help from Q) to save Voyager in the last minute before the female Caretaker were about to destroy the ship.

She should have persuaded the female Caretaker to spare Voyager and finally convinced her that the Voyager crew didn't kill the Caretaker at the Ocampa planet.

The creature in "Fury" shuld have been revealed as Suspiria in disguise, trying to fool the crew in order to destroy the ship.

As a way to make up for the damage done, the female Caretaker would have given Kes a human lifespan and sent the ship home.

It would also have had a decent homecoming in which we had seen our favorites being re-united with their families.

Maybe, maybe a "happy ending" between Janeway and Chakotay too. ;)

I have a three quarters finished fic (almost 20,000 words) setting on my hard drive where Voyager is given star charts mapping out a series of artificial wormholes (the Bajoran wormhole is one), that would allow them to get home at about the beginning of season seven. The conflict is that the Vaadwaur want the charts to go along with their subspace corridors, because like Pinky and the Brain, they want to take over the world.

My basic idea was to give the Voyager a way home that could also be used as a way back into the Delta Quadrant, and maybe develop a series of stories. Perhaps Seska’s brother looking for the last living member of his family. Or just what happened to Riley Frasier’s “cooperative.”

Come to think of it, I've rewritten "Endgame" a lot. I even rewrote "Basics" because I thought Janeway and company would realize just what the Kazon were doing, I had them devise a way to keep the ship from leaving Hanon, and a way to get Voyager back. Suter still died, but in a battle in sickbay that ended with B'Elanna using her phaser on Cullah after Suter hit him with a metal tray, drawing Cullah's fire.

I actually wrote a completely alternate 'Endgame' story because I was disappointed with the aired version. It used to be the in fan-fic forum but was lost when the forums were overhauled. Wish I could find it!

Yes, yes, yes and yes. I couldn't agree more.

However, the four aformenetioned parts of being gone from Endgame, the finale could have been almost anything. I haven't thought about in detail what exactly the finale would have been, but I would have like them to do the final "big jump" in it, but without getting all the way to Earth's doorstep.

For the relaunch books I would have left them in the Delta Quadrant, but perhaps about 10 000 light-years away from Federation space. There still would have been unknown space ahead of them to explore, but at the same time the crew would have realized that they are indeed getting home during their lifetimes and therefore they would have began to ponder the implications of their return.
