We already got Pike,Spock and Number 1. Who else would you like to see as characters?
Me the doctor from the pilot is the only other character from the Cage I would really care about. A kind of old crusty doctor type who gives advice seems like something that feels kind of old school which also befits a show that would hopefully feel very traditional. Of course you can add layers if you want. Maybe he is dying from a kind of cancer or something. Who knows.
The alien communication officer from "The Early Voyages" comic who in theory might also be a CGI character.
A young British female cadet yeomen on her first assignment who is not so much into exploring but just getting experience in space because she has lofty goals someday of getting into politics. Her arc is her sort of falling in love with space travel for the first time and in away with Trek kind of like a metaphor of a new fan just getting into it so at some point we will see her want to move beyond a yeomen to command.
A man from 2020 who has a chip in his head who allows him info on how to use modern tech quickly almost on instinctive level though he see's the world basically from our point of view.
50 year old women who is a expert on weapons, all weapons and frankly is the Trek equivalent of a gun nut. Thanks Pike and Number are both hot and crushes on both of them. Head of security.
