Crazy Smallville theory/series finale idea

Much better idea.

In the final moments, Dean Cain wakes up in bed next to Teri Hatcher.

She asks "What is it?"

He says "TERRIBLE nightmare. You don't want to know....PLEASE tell me you don't have a cousin anywhere named Chloe."
And then Lois turns over in bed... and it turns out to be Brandon Routh with a wig!

Cree-cree-cree!

End series. :p

^With Justin Long in bed next to him!

Urgh, why am I still watching this show?

The cry of a true TV fan. I kinda feel sorry for those casual TV viewers out there who simply stop watching a show once it starts to frustrate them. They'll never understand how seriously we take our TV.

we still watch this show because we put in all this damn time, should see it through until the end.

Yup. That the same thing I was saying all throughout the final season & a half of Battlestar Galactica and that godawful 5th season of Earth: Final Conflict.:wtf:

Couldn't disagree more...I like this show. I am not sure what happened between when I use to watch it, and now, but other than the light weight Zantanna episode earlier this month, I have liked all the episodes, begining with the JSA episode, which IMO, was "live action DC TV" at its all time best...classic

About the whole identity thing. I have an idea. In another universe, I'm reading The Darth Bane Trilogy star wars stories. The sith in that series have the ability to completely mask their identity. To the point they could talk to a Jedi and the Jedi not even sensing the Dark Side. A similar trait could be applied to Clark/Superman.

Clark dons the familiar red and blue outfit. Superman projects an aura of a larger than life heroic figure. Blinding the everyday public to his alter ego. If that makes any sense.

I'm hopeful for the upcoming...
Perry White/Martha Kent episode (this year's penultamate episode).

Hopefully this will bring in Perry White as the Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Planet where he belongs, and rid ourselves of Lex & Lexette running the Planet (lets face it, comic book villians aside, as the heads of a multinational company they should have more important things to).

And with all luck, as dumb as it sometimes is, Martha can give Clark the Superman suit (or at the very least push him the last inch to becoming Superman).

Cause, lets face it, with Zod flying now (and no doubt all of his followers in the finale - hopefully called "Super", "Soar", or "After Nine Season we finally realise what dicks we've been... we're real sorry, here's Superman!!") the only right way for SuperClark to defeat Zod will be to finally take flight.

Of course this is Smallville, and it wouldn't be the first time the PTB's have disapointed us - do I dare bring up "Doomsday" and the Henry JIMMY Oslen???

There's nothing more important for a multi-billionaire CEO to do than try to control the news. News outlets are the heart of the beast. SEE Jimmy James spending all his time hanging around the station on NewsRadio.

You have a point, my fellow dead friend, but controlling is one thing, micro-managing is totally different story.

In the one Superman flick, Lois finds out Clark's secret and then he makes her forget it.

Perhaps they could use that angle, so as to not erase the entire Smallville 'verse, just the memories of those who would notice.

That ability was pulled out of the Salkind's arse, quite frankly.

I am not going to tell you what orifice they pulled the plastic throwable shield out of.

Like Palps in the PT? :p

It's been brought up before, actually, but that doesn't mean it makes sense. What about pictures of Clark? Don't tell me cameras are fooled by his aura also... ;)

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: he should just get the power to morph his face into something else for Supes appearances. You'd need two actors instead of one, but apart from that, problem solved.

they will probably go with the whole memory wipe thing for the general pubic(ie: people clark has had some contact with) others will be killed off(ie:tess, zod and his followers, other bad guys) but maybe they will have lois find out about clarks powers before he becomes superman, that way only her and the justice league are the only ones with knowlege of clarks identity. also i could see Chloe's death being the final straw that makes clark embrace his destiny.

Lot of people seem to be expecting a reset button. Despite the alterations to the mythos that Smallville has taken I would like them to keep and not press the big reset button regarding the people that know Clark's secret. There isn't really much need to do that. Lex comes back with severe memory loss either to him being a clone or just the trauma of being blown up and crushed beneath ice and loses the knowledge of Clark's secret would be lost. Tess could be killed, or the Justice League or Checkmate mind wipe her memories as well. Lana...well...Lana is supposed to know. Lois could find out at the series finale and I'd be fine with that. There's no need for a magical reset.

There you go. Clark could just go around kissing everybody in the final episode.

I'm guessing in the series finale the big bad guy will be defeated with one punch at 45 after, and then the ending will have some popular Top 40 song playing.

It's just like in the Superman movie from '78, you know? In it, young Clark goes to the Fortress and begins his training with Jor-El. This training lasts years, in real time. When it's done, Clark emerges in his full Superman outfit.

Maybe the same thing will happen in the series. Hell, they could even use Brando's original dialogue.

Well if was like the movie, Clark would go into the fortress and come out as a completely different person. One who will actually wear the costume!

...actually, in this day and age, he'd come out as a woman and when an academy award.

But seriously..Its obvious this show can not continue on as the usual superman universe does because of all the changes in the story (which I think are part of the reason i like it now). They should just end it this way;

The story ends on a typical note..then a TEN YEARS later graphic comes up...we see the city...we hear the John Williams superman mantra begin to build as we pan down to the city streets. A little boy points up and says, "Look up in the sky", the rest of the familiar words are said and then, somehow, they CGI Chris Reeve in as superman flying over head and thats it...THE END..

Rob

^ I love the Christopher Reeve Superman movies, and they hold a special place in my heart, but c'mon, can we let the twenty year movies rest in piece. Its not like Christian Bale went through all the training in Batman Begins, put on the Batsuit, and stepped out of the shadows to reveal...

Adam West!!!

Its time to move away from the old films and into the new. That said, I wouldn't be so pissed if it's Brandon Routh played Superman in the end (I hope he comes back for the next film!) if Welling is too much of a douche to put the suit on the end.

Christ, can you imagine if after seven years of episodes, the producers of Voyager refused to bring the ship home. What a frakken let down! Now image another 3 on top of that and NO SUPERMAN! Why does Hollywood constantly feel the need to slap its paying audience in the face?!

Anyways in short, no to CGI Reeves, yes to Stop being a frekking dickhead Tom and put the damn suit on!!!!!

Maybe Clark could just make a deal with the devil and everything would work out just fine? Bring back Pa Kent in the process. Afterall, fixing your identity and keeping your elders around via those trustworthy devil deals is all the rage! :p
