Crazy Random Thought - A Holographic Jimmy Buffet

Well DS9 had an interactive heuristic fully interactive '60s lounge singer in the form of Vic Fontaine. I wonder how a similar hologram of Jimmy Buffet would fit in in the 24th Century...

^^^ More Hawiian print shirts? I think he'd be a lot of fun to go fishing, surfing, or flying with.

I think it would be interesting to find someone completely opposite of Vic like Marilyn Manson. "Computer, delete program..."

Maybe just name a ship the USS Margaritaville, and have Buffets hologram just wandering barefoot in the hallways.

I think every Federation ship in the 24th century and beyond should have a holo-Spock (the older wiser Spock Prime) to seek advice, debate issues, and play 3d chess with.

It was great to see Vic, because other than Riker being into Jazz and Tom Paris liking rock and roll, it seemed like everybody listened to nothing but classical music.

In fact almost everyone in the 24th century seems obsessed with the distant past. Doesn't anybody read or listen to anything modern? Or are 24th century humans just stagnant as far as art is concerned? Sometimes it certainly seemed that way.

I've long thought about that, too. Even when Picard would listen to opera or orchestra, it would still be from a pre-19th century composer. As if Earth stopped making classical music in the future! That might explain the drab color schemes all over the place :)

It would have been nice to see Data strap on Les Paul (RIP) guitar palying the beginning riff of Smoke On the Water instead seeing him with a violin. :)

I think it would be great if they had him listening to a Star Wars or Stargate soundtrack at some point.
