Cover Copy for Myriad Universes and These Haunted Seas

HOLY CRAP. HOLY CRAP, all six of those sound awsome. I was gonna try to pick one that sounded the coolest, but I've come to conclusion that that is not possible.

I'm really looking forward to 'A Less Perfect Union'. An unexpected ENT story (sort of) in 2008! :D

MyrU ("MU" means Mirror Universe) is certainly a concept with endless potential, so as long as these two sell well, there's no reason not to continue -- and there's certainly no lack of interest in doing so.

It would be neat if the Myriad Universes project would turn into a semi-regular thing, like a volume every two years or so. 'Course I probably ought to read them first, but I trust I'll be suitably blown away.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

Going by these descriptions alone, I'd buy any other MryU books that came out.

SEEDS OF DISSENT by James Swallow: Khan victorious! Almost four centuries after conquering their world, genetically enhanced humans dominate a ruthless interstellar empire. But the warship Defiance, under its augmented commander, Princeps Julian Bashir, makes a discovery that could shake the pillars of his proud civilization: an ancient sleeper ship from Earth named the Botany Bay.
OOOO...that sounds very interesting, especially since Bashir is one of my favorite characters. I greatly look forward to it.

The rest sound pretty interesting, too, although the Enterprise tale doesn't hold much interest for me (sorry, Bill!).

A LESS PERFECT UNION by William Leisner: More than a hundred years after the Terra Prime movement achieved its dream of an isolationist Earth, humanity is once again at a fork in the river of history . . . and the path it follows may ultimately be determined by the voice of a single individual: the sole surviving crewmember of the first Starship Enterprise.

Please tell me it isn't Trip again - why won't this guy die?! ;)

Sounds like a fantastic read though, they all do. Can't decide which I'm more excited about, Seeds of Dissent, or KRAD's A Gutted World.

^^ Eh, I get the royalties from the sale, either way. ;)

And I would just stress the point that ALPU is set many, many years after ENT... and does not involve holodeck recreations of the ENT timeframe.

I'm looking forward to all of these stories, but especially Chimes at Midnight. Also, I'm interested to read the story about the terrorist Kira participating in an Interstellar War.

Anybody who's read the excerpt from A Less Perfect Union in the latest issue of the Star Trek Magazine already knows the answer to the who's-the-last-survivor question.

All of these stories sound interesting and I can't hardly wait to read them all. I'm salivating as I type! :)

Kevin

all the stories sound interesting. but someone has to complain about something.

is that going to be the cover for infinity's prism? i thought we had seen that before and someone said that was just a temp cover. it just doesn't do much for me. i'll still be buying the thing the day i see it. i'm just saying... :)

At TrekWeb. Includes plot details on the various Myriad Universes novels, which look fascinating.

:drool::eek:

Wow....
I was looking forward to this from the moment I heard of "Other Times" as it was called back then. Now the waiting is almost over and these descriptions aren't going to make the remaining waiting any easier....
Thank you very much in advance from an enthusiastic reader of Alternative Reality novels :techman:
Regarding the cover: Not particulary surprising.... I guess Volume 2 is going to show Data... ;)
