Countdown to Netflix!

On October 1st Netflix is scheduled to finally carry DS9 after having all other Star Trek (well not TAS if that counts lol) on there streaming since July. Who here plans to re-watch the series again that has Netflix streaming?

I wish I could do a re-watch on Netflix...but it seems that Netflix Canada is not yet able to obtain rights to ANY of the Star Trek series. Heavy sigh. Please enjoy the replay on my behalf!

I've already finished TNG and am almost through season 5 of Voyager in anticipation of DS9! There are so many episodes I missed the first time around (it aired at an odd time on my local station), it will be like watching a brand new series to me.

Netflix does have TAS available now.

Just so ya know...

It's a little after midnight here on the East Coast and DS9 is still listed on Netflix's website as being DVD only. No big surprise, really. I figure it won't become available for streaming until some time in the morning.

ETA: As of 6:15 AM Eastern Time, we officially have DS9 on instant streaming. Hell. Yes. :D

ETAA: Okay, random weirdness. "Emissary" has been switched with "The Way of the Warrior," so if you want to start from the beginning, scroll down to the latter episode and play that one first. :wtf: No idea if any other episodes are mixed up, but I recall this happening with the other shows when they were first added, too. It should be fixed sooner or later.

Getting an error message when attempting to play through my iPad.

In fact, that is the ONLY reason I still have my netflix membership.

Yep. It's the only reason I kept mine, and I am so glad I did. I just finished watching "Duet", which is alone worth the monthly price just to be able to watch over and over again. Harris Yulin's performance is magnificent (as is Nana Visitor's), and there is just so much raw emotion being channeled in the scenes where they are together. Just an amazing episode.

At 6:15 AM, John had DS9 in his queue. At 6:16 AM, John watched "The Way of the Warrior" appear as episode 1. At 6:17, John sent an email to Netflix customer service. By 3 PM, John was watching "Emissary" as the first episode. :D

Starting watching yesterday, first episode was "The Visitor", then watched "One Little Ship", after that not sure. Maybe start at the beginning from here, and go all the way through the entire show,

They have Trials and Tribble-ations listed as Trials of Tribble-ations, with the following description:

Sisko, Odo, Dax and Garak are found unconscious. While Bashir attempts to revive their bodies, they wake up during the Cardassian occupation of Bajor

Also, for TOS, the episode "Obsession" is the original version, not the remastered one.

Why are there episodes missing? Big chunks of seasons 5, 6 and 7 are not available
You may want to check again. Earlier netflix was having some technical difficulties and at first the site was down then had very limited availability, but it's back up in full now and I looked and as far as I can tell all the episodes from the seasons you mention are available.

There were some early technical difficulties for sure, I was up late on Sept.30/Oct.1 night working on some stuff and it came available, I went to Way of the Warrior and got Emissary instead. Most of those issues were resolved within 24 hours.

Yep, just a few hiccups the first day, as was the case with the other shows. I haven't had an issue since then. :techman:
