A character who has a mind of his own and wasn't very popular with the rest of Voyager's crew at the beginning.
I'm saddened that neither Jarem nor Kaz survived the Borg incursion. But with Cambridge still aboard Voyager it's still fun.
People usually feel uncomfortable to be psycho-analyzed from inside out. Then his grumpy behavior. But I think he is a well-versed counselor, although with an unorthodox approach. You simply have to get to know him. And he is a different kind of counselor than we have seen before, (especially compared to Ezri and Deanna). And he has his flaws.
