3D television, as a mass phenomenon, is still some ways away. Though the percentage of 3D movie tickets sold in the U.S. is settling down, the cinematic version is not going away - the numbers continue to work well for the studios and the technology is driving the exhibition industry in the direction that the studios want for the future.
