Could the next series be animated?

Someone on YouTube has taken all the visual components of the 70's animated TOS and has started doing new episodes with new voice actors trying to sound like the originals. A couple of them do a decent job.
Do you recall how they were titled? So that I can find them easier?

I don't see why it can't be animated.

It may be the best opportunity to see a last hurrah for TNG, or even DS9. I can't see Sir Patrick Stewart wanting to do Picard again (at least not action hero Starship Mine-esque Picard), and most of the other TNG cast are almost 60 anyhow.

TNG, VOY and TOS got their last hurrahs.
DS9 and ENT have the least satisfying endings. IMHO's. I guess the argument I have then would be that those two series could have their endings "fixed" by way of fan animation.

Except Spiner, I think all of the TNG cast are open to continuing the roles.

I've posted this a dozen times if I've posted it once: An animated Trek series could be very successful if they followed the same formula as was done with Batman: TAS. That show was written very intelligently but so much that it was over the heads of the kids who watched it too. But it was much more than that; teens and adults enjoyed it and they marketed extremely well. I loved that show and its offshoots. A new Trek animated series could cover so much more than any live action one could. The crew could truly explore strange new worlds ... The aliens and their planets could be very exotic, starships could be very different, flashbacks would be easy to do as would time travel. I am all for a ST:TAS2!
