Could Cochrane of Alpha Centauri mean Alpha Centauri project/institute?

Why does Centauri VII have to be in orbit of Alpha Centuari? The constellation has several stars.
Are there more "Centauri" star systems other than the Alpha Centauri trinary star system with stars: A, B and Proxima? I guess if there's an "Alpha", then there's room in the galaxy for a Beta through Omega, too.

Taranullus is not Flint. The book collection just demonstrates Flint's good taste and wealth to own such works of art. Another example is the 100 year old Saurian brandy; good taste and wealth (I doubt he distilled it, himself).

My head canon has Zefram Cochrane moving to Alpha Centauri on one of the first few warp missions there. He establishes a research facility there. The idea being that a lot of the early warp development involved sending ships back and forth between earth and Alpha Centauri. Thus he would be most famous during his time on Alpha Centauri, rather than his drunk nobody period on earth.
