Costuming from Trek XI

I took my wife to see the film this past weekend, purely because I knew she'd have an interest from a costuming POV. I tried to point out how the material in the Starfleet uniforms would make precise reproductions difficult, due to the small Trek delta symbol. She came back with a "Pffft.... you have no idea how creative costumers can be in getting what they need." Sure enough, she found the following site yesterday:

Meh, I think there are other films out there with much more crearive costuming, and I'm not talking about superhero films. Just look at ones like Harry Potter and such. Great detail with classic style. I thought she'd be more interested in those sorts of costumes.

I've stumbled on that site before, not too bad.

I set these challenges to my mother. She's a costume maker (well, used to be) so I tend to come up with ideas and ask her to piece them together for me. I'm tempted to go for ShoutySpock at Halloween as it's been a while since I geeked up for the occasion.
