I think I remember seeing it tucked away in a big fleet scene.
I agree with Kirby...who the heck did they get to crew those old refits? I certainly wouldn't want to be on one!

Did you start with Next Gen and never saw TOS or those movies?

Cannon fodder. They showed plenty of Mirandas in the Dominion War as well, and most of them met quick, and quite spectacular deaths. They probably pulled a bunch of relics out of mothballs, refitted them as quickly as possible and manned them with a bunch of misfits knowing that their only jobs were to draw as much enemy fire as possible so the hero ships could do their jobs.
Indeed, the fact that the ships had names like USS Rest in peace, USS Bullseye, USS Target, USS Deathtrap and USS Meaningless death was a bit of a give away.![]()

That's my memory of it. It's barely a few frames and the ship passes from right to left through the centre of the screen, but the ships outline is slightly out of focus and it's against a very busy background of other ships which draw the eye away.

That's because there was never a Connie on DS9, or an Ambassador as another poster claimed - though sometimes the Excelsior CGI model looks a bit squished and looks a bit like an Ambassador.

If that's Sacrifice of Angels then it's a Steamrunner. You can see the detached deflector about two frames into it's appearance. There's another scene at the end of the Battle of Chintoka where one does a Constitution impression.

I keep thinking there's also a closing shot with an Ambassador docked at the station. I'll look and see if I can find it, though I could be wrong.

All you see in the big sequences are the CGI models they had - the Galaxy, Nebula, Excelsior, Miranda, Akira, Steamrunner, Sabre (barely ever seen) and Defiant.

I'm not saying you're not right, but I'm struggling to imagine how something the shape of the steamrunner could possibly resemble something the shape of the constitution.
