"Conspiracy" vs. "The Neutral Zone"

There's one episode with the Romulans in S2, but they really do not become much of a presence until S3.

I'm a loss to understand how TNZ is preferred to Conspiracy by some people here.

For those of us who levied specific criticisms or gave other reasons, it's not like we didn't get specific as to what the reasons were.

What I don't understand, is why going with the Borg idea invalidated the use of the Conspiracy parasites? It's not like they couldn't have done both at some point. It's not as if somehow using the Borg would have created a situation where "Oh, well, so much for the parasites. You win some, you lose some.". What, there can't be two potential menaces out there?

Many of the reasons I read were somewhat vague.

For example, you personally mentioned a moment or two, but you didn't really get into too much detail as to what made TNZ better other than some vague comment about the Romulans returning.

I'm not saying TNZ is a total failure or anything, but I wish someone would illustrate what makes it that much better than Conspiracy. I'm not sure anyone has really made a convincing or intriguing argument in its favor.

I suppose it's just a 'taste' thing. I mean, two people could argue about whether Three Musketeers is better than Butterfinger, but what definitive conclusions could be drawn?

Conspiracy is a better episode and better season finale than The Neutral Zone.

Just like Peak Performance is a better episode and better season finale than Shades of Grey.

You must have missed one or more of my posts in this thread is all I can say.

It's not like you have to agree with what I'm saying, but it's also not like I just said "TNZ" is better and left it at that. Others have been pretty specific, too.
