Congressman Weiner

You know, I want to feel sorry for him, but I can't. He has less self-control and poorer judgment than my ADHD 14 year old son. And then he lies about it. He brought this on himself by being stupid.

Yeah. If I were a New York voter, I'd be concerned at having a dolt representing my interests in DC, but not so much about any morality issue there might be attached to this.

I am a New York voter, but I vote Republican anyway.

As for Weiner, he's an idiot. He's always been an idiot. He's the classic example of the pol that couldn't shoot straight ('cept for maybe baby-makin'). It's not about sex addiction, or any other mental disease. He just took a picture of his schween and decided all his hos needed to see it and it didn't occur to him to make sure nobody else did.

Being such a sick perv as to be doing this shit in the first place means that Weiner is not trustworthy in political matters.

If that shit makes him a 'sick perv' () then probably 90 % of the people that are online today are ineligible for any political office.

Besides, did he actually cheat on his wife?

^ Weiner is checking with Bill Clinton on that as we speak...

Another such 'affair' that should never have been blown to the proportions than it was.

These things aren't of any public interest so long as they aren't affecting the actual political work.

I think this has been totally inflated. I think what he did was wrong, but to be honest compared to some of the crap done by other politicians, it's fairly minor.

It's not like Weiner got all preachy about family values and then got caught with a mistress; he didn't make it his life's mission to persecute homosexuals/bisexuals only to find out that he was soliciting male hookers in restrooms.

The argument that hypocrisy is worse than lying or cheating is silly. Actions are either wrong or they are not. It is always fun to watch people on the left contort themselves trying to say that Republican scandals are so much worse than Democrat scandals. I think they are all bad, and that all our politicians should be held to a high standard. The thing is, the Republicans caught in scandals usually resign. (Mark Foley, Larry Craig, John Ensign.) Democrats as often as not will stay in office, claiming that their deviant behavior has nothing to do with their ability to work in government. (Anthony Weiner, Bill Clinton.)

While sexual behavior may not have anything to do with voting on appropriations bills, it does display a lack of judgment, a lack of honesty (especially in the way Weiner viciously attacked his critics as liars while sticking to his lame 'hacking' story), and opens up these important people to blackmail. We must hold our leaders to a higher standard, Democrats and Republicans alike.

The standards represented by the likes of, say, Palin and Gingrich?

My ex, and I are fighting this week, about something I wrote on a forum naming her...
It's a headache, she says I've ruined her career before it's even began, I've said it's my life and I can write what ever I want and it's my right to freedom of speech in action, she's screaming slander, I'm being fair, so is she, I'm asking where it was written to have it taken down, I can't do it myself, she's asking them, they so far haven't, she's screaming slander at me, I've started to scream slander at the forum for not deleteing it like I asked... This thing all started last Christmas and it's shown it's ugly head again... It's like; I pissed off the next Margret Thacture. - She says people from what ever jobs she goes for will see it, she says it matters, she wants to run for office... I... Am trying so hard not to write a song and name it 'insert name here' Is a Bitch... I can see why she's mad, but I hate it when people tell me to delete stuff I've written about them... Never date politicians people, no matter how cute they are when they're 17.

Not that I'm saying I'm picky when it comes to women, but my ex doesn't want a scandal when she runs for Office. - Also, I am a writer, a muscian and a poet, her forcing me to have this stuff taken down to save her career is cool 'as far as I can stomach it I mean', but it's got me thinking; The world's sh*t and in order for people to run us, they need to appear cleaner than clean otherwise the truth is; No one would ellect them.

I'm a pot head guitarist who listens to too much Guns N' Roses... I don't need this.

I wrote about my ex girl friend, she googled her name, she saw it, was not the brightest thing I had ever done, but gosh darn it how dare she scream slander at me... I could argue it as the truth or, my version of events... I could even be creative, write a song about her, call her this B*tch in it, and there isn't a single thing this person should be able to do about it... Public office sucks, so does ex girl friends and lawyers. - GRRR.

People we ellect are just like us, only difference is they erase the past in order to seem holyier than thou because we live in a world that is too stupid to ellect anyone with any hint of a scandal in their past.
