I must admit, eating sweeties in the kitchen, I had a mouth full of some Sherbert Toffee things, and I was watching the news just now and, was giggleing like a fool with Sherbert Toffee things in his mouth everytime they mentioned the name 'Weiner'.

Hisotrians would be quick to remind us that FDR, Eisenhower and Kennedy all engaged in this kind of lewd behavior with women - especially Kennedy but the media during their day and age would ignore it and not publish it.

Personally any politician post Bill Clinton's sex scandal who thinks they could engage in extra-martial sex - lewd behavior towards women and think they can possibly get away with it are fools and morons to the degree they shouldn't be in office in the first place IMHO because they're so stupid and incompetent for office as a result.

Sexual behaviour doesn't have anything to do with the ability to govern. Thats like saying someone who can't drive shouldn't be a particle physicist.

In any case I find this almost too hilarious to be true. I mean its not cool for him to be sending women pics of his sausage area, but apparently he had been at this for some time and when one of the recipients asked for confirmation that it was the weiner he sent a pic of her a pic of him holding a sign saying "me" with arrows pointing upwards with a stoic expression on his face. Its comedy gold! Although I feel a little bit sorry for him and his wife.

I don't care what happens to Weiner, but I feel horrible for his wife, especially now that there are reports that she's pregnant. This is probably not the best time for her to be stressed out over her husband's indiscretions and the media attention.

For one thing, elected leaders are held to a higher standard than people in other disciplines. More importantly however, these episodes (the sexting, but more egregiously the lying) show the congressman to have very poor judgment. I don't know about you but I think congressmen should be people with good judgment.
