Concerning the novel guidelines

I have three great stories - one eight page synopsis and two four page ones - but the first has alternate realities coming in and out and the second two have time travel but one of them not by any of the main characters. What's wrong with alternate universes and time travel as devices but not the story themselves?

I've got three other non time travel - alternate universe stories that I'm trying to crack. Should I work on those instead? Already wrote three chapters for the first story and have alot written on the third.

^ Well, since they're generally not looking for time travel or alternate universe stories (the Myriad Universe stuff is the exception, and those typically are invite-only), I'd suggest that none of these are what you want to be sending.

RATS, there goes my plan for a story centered on an alternate reality created by a time-tossed Romulan mining ship.

The guidelines tell you quite clearly. You're auditioning by writing a "typical" ST adventure, not a time travel or alternate universe, which are atypical stories and usually invitation-only. If your "typical" proposal gets you in the door to pitch, that's when you can spout forth on your other ideas.
