I don't really care (who does really ? Come on, be honest) but my choice would be Marina Sirtis.
William Shatner. He can turn "Red Alert! Red Alert! All hands to battle stations!" into a spoken word song.
How about Roxann Dawson? I thought she was pretty good as the voice of the computer in the Enterprise episode Dead Stop.
The greatest voice of all time:
It is 2 more weeks before final theatrical trailer for TrekXII during the G.I.Joe Retaliation release at the cinema.
Maybe then we'll know if the computer voice will be Majel's or a different female voice?
Has anyone heard anything yet?
I would say Peter Jones, but he died.
Be great to hear Kirk interacting with Zapp Branigan again!
Ok, seriously, I think that it would need a voice-actress that wouldn't be too recognisable. Nothing worse than missing some plot 'cos you're racking your brains for who the hell the computer sounded like!
^^ Billy West was also "Stimpson J. Cat" (Stimpy).
It would be great to hear the computer sound like Stimpy (who, in turn, sounded a lot like Larry Fine).
...And speaking of Billy West's voice:
Well I'd probably prefer them to digitise Majel's voice and immortalise her but failing that lets go with Norman Lovett.
His dead pan face has to appear on every viewer for that to work.
And it would be awesome.
This is one of my favorites.
Jimmy from South Park
I haven't watched any of them but now that the 5th and final movie trailer is out for STinto darkness to prevent all spoilers for me.
Has any of you watched the newest one and heard a computer voice in it?
Was majel's voice used?
No computer voice has been heard in any trailers. And I don't think anyone has mentioned anything about it from the various extended footage screenings.
