Computer voice -- am I imagining this?

I'm watching "The Voyager Conspiracy" right now -- the scene where Seven is in Astrometrics talking to the computer and analyzing old sensor data.

In the last few years of 24th-century Trek, did Majel Barrett's voice change significantly? The TNG computer always sounded very smooth, but does her voice take a noticeably different timbre later on? It sounds very different to me.

Ernie Over, who was Gene Roddenberry's personal assistant and driver, and then Majel's when GR died, told me that it used to take Majel time to rediscover her computer voice every time she went into the recording studio.
