Did you not watch the ceremony yesterday? Obama did jump in too early, but then Roberts did not recite the oath correctly. Obama attempted to repeat, realized the error and paused to let the Chief Justice correct himself, which he sort of did.
No I didn't. They had it on 3 plasma TV's in the boardroom but I had to wash my hair. I did watch the oath later. And as you say he did flub by coming in too early. So they both flubbed. Big deal. It's real life, stuff happens.
Oh, and I did also hear the 'poetry.' Wow. I remember that stuff from the 1st grade readers. That was awful. I actually felt bad for President Obama.

Yeah, he flubbed it. But I've always accepted him as a human being, one whom I find to be highly intelligent and a gifted speaker, but a human being nonetheless. It's just annoying, and I felt the same way about the little gaffes Bush would make and people would tear into him for it.
I guess no one takes the higher road anymore, that's my real issue.
Here's a chance for everyone to work together, and it's just going to fall apart right at the start because people don't want to work together, they want to be right, no matter the cost. I'm not saying that's you, Gertch, but I figured I'd mention it while I was thinking about it.
