The ship is taking the TNG Holodeck design. This series looks like it's very TNG-ish, which I'm fine with. People have craved for a TNG animated series for years.

Ah ok. I watched an interview with Tom Hanks recently where he said he was a big Star Trek fan. To get him to be in Star Trek even for a bit would be amazing.
I think that was simply about the timeline. After Voyager returns to Earth and after Nemesis. I guess they forgot that there was some time between those two. So could have just said after Nemesis.
