Spoilers Combined Star Trek SDCC Coverage thread (potential Disco S2 spoilers)

Really surprised Lower Decks is set 2 years after Nemesis/9 years before Picard (2380). I was sure it'd be 23rd century.

somehow I think viticulture could have changed in France in the next few hundred years. It certainly has in the previous 300.

The post was intended to be more tongue in cheek, however it should be noted that in France today there is a quite strong movement to go back to a more "traditionnel" way to make food. Also the AOC did not become a thing until the 20th century, and really took off after the 2nd World War. They are really quite daunting, and brutal and have the quality of a french federal law, and every detail is regulated. For example the name of the vineyard can only be half the size of the name of the town/village unless it is premier cru. However, if you do not meet the criteria of the AOC you can not even mention the town of origin. etc. If there is one thing that will survive the ages it is bureaucracy. :D
