Coldplay Sued

As others here have said, cold play is effing annoying & irritating.

But why?

I can't put my finger on what it is exactly.

Is it their lead singer perhaps?

Could be that maybe(?), as offstage he tends to be a posturing chowderhead yes?

What is IT about cold play that rubs my rhubarb?

bahaa.

If Coldplay really took it, they did a trillion times better with it.

Who is this Satriani guy? That was like one of the most annoying things I've heard in a long time. Viva La Vida is much better, IMO.

but, I will say that is the only song that I like by Coldplay.

^^^ Eh, I'm quite partial to Alizee's version. [Stop that, and clean up afterwards - everyone]

But yeah, it's actually the only Coldplay song I like too. Well, that and "The Scientist."

Well, if it's not the fact that they make quite boring music that annoys you, then it's probably the fact that they are more rich and successful than you ;)

It's rarely chord progressions that are involved in plagiarism suits. It's melody, hook and arrangements.

For example, if I took the keyboard opening of "Light My Fire" but went to completely original song, I could still easily be sued (and called an idiot, let's face it).

So in addition to melody or lyrics, suits can be for stealing the individual "sound" of a song as well. (Remember "Ghostbusters"?)
