Code of Honor Review from Will Weaton is up

I was surprised that he was so lenient on this horrid episode. I think that it is much worse than a C.
It's nice that he can really rip into the stupidity of having Wesley on the bridge during an emergency.

Does anyone have a towel? Heh.

Just about to finish off the last review and get stuck into this one. Its not been too long since that last review, I hope there'll be a few more to come.

Lutan, impressed by Picard's eloquence, says they should come over to his house, where they'll play some wicked Street Fighter II before he lets them take Tasha back home. Riker gets really excited, and says that he totally knows all of Dhalsim's moves, so he should lead the away team

Plus, Wesley is only seven years older than me, yet it makes me feel pretty old.

She's annoyed that Picard isn't as melodramatic as she is about the whole thing, so she changes the subject to her son, Wesley, because if there's one thing that can take Picard's mind off his problems, it's kids. Wesley has been ordered to stay off the bridge by the captain, but really really really wants to come hang out with the adults. Also, he's kinda sitting on the turbolift (holding the Door Open button for the last three minutes, I guess) and waiting, so maybe Picard could just let him, you know, come hang out.
And suddenly the bridge turns into a gay bath house.:guffaw:

:guffaw: Maybe someone should send Wil a link to that caption thread? :D

Finally! Haven't been so enthused to read a Wil Wheaton review since I stumbled across "Justice". :) This is just one episode you can rip apart in so many ways... off to read!

I liked Code of Honor. I'm the only one here that does.

Wheaton's reviews are great. He's so brutally honest, and he pokes fun at his younger self.

Hmmm...I am not sure what to make of this. While I appreciate his wit, it does seem odd for him to be so critical and caustic. I have seen other writings of his and he often tries to strike this same tone. He also picked a very easy episode to criticise.

BTW the german online news magazine Spiegel-Online has released an article about Wheaton:

Star-Trek-Hassfigur bloggt sich zum Vorzeige-Nerd

Die Zuschauer hassten Wil Wheaton, als er in der zweiten "Star Trek"-Serie einen Streber-Kadetten spielte. Heute bloggt er über Linux, schreibt Rollenspiel-Kolumnen und Bücher über seine Jugend als Nerd - und hat plötzlich Fans.

I'm surprised Wil doesn't post here.
Anyway, I enjoy his reviews because of the wit, but also his being involved with the production really makes things interesting. I've read reviews and firsthand accounts of many episodes, but none together.

It's too bad Wesley wasn't cool. You know, he was great in Parallels, when he was the security chief.

I also enjoy his firsthand accounts. Without them one might as well just read agony booth - anyone can criticize first season TNG. However, I wonder how much of this stuff he accurately remembers and how much of it is a little bit made up based on vague impressions - it was 20 years ago.
