Coca Cola - who likes it, who doesn't ?

I think Coke is fine sometimes..but I dont really drink it that much:) I like Mountain Dew better:D

Re: coca cola and who like it who does'nt ?

Back home in Ohio Coca-Cola had more bite to it. The Southern formula is sweeter and I do not like it. I was diagnosed with diabetes about six years ago. The diet versions use aspartame so I do not drink them. We used to have Coke with Splenda, but it was short lived.

Food Lion, our local grocery which is headquartered in our little town, uses Splenda (sucralose) in their diet drinks which taste very good and cost less than national brands. These are the only drinks I buy, except for caffeine-free Coke which I keep on hand for my brother's visits.

Yep. Once I became Diabetic, I stopped drinking Coke. The diet version is disgusting. For a while, I drank diet Pepsi, and now I don't drink any of them. I do live in Ohio, and yeah, Coke had more bite, but I don't think it's true anymore. The last time I did drink it, it just tasted too cloying and sweet.

Over the last few years, the only time I've drank diet coke, is when I'm out. I use to buy the 2L bottle of diet coke from the Supermarket, but over the last few years switched to one of the supermarket brands of diet cola. Taste is similar, and much cheaper.

I like Coke but I would like it more if it was not so sweet.

I like adding a bit of lemon.

I like Coke taste wise, but I never drink any fizzy soda unless I am avoiding booze in a bar.

Coke, Pepsi, RC in that order. Matters little, really.

But in a restaurant, I'd love to have the guts some day to order a Coke and when the server asks, "Is Pepsi OK?" I'd answer, "It most certainly is not!" and get up and storm out of the restaurant.

I buy "Mexican Coke" at Costco (seen it at Wegmans, too). It's made with real sugar (gluscose) and not high fructose corn syrup. Coke bottles sugar-made Coke around Passover for supermarkets in large U.S. cities, and I'll stock up then, too.
I'm not anti-high fructose corn syrup, but almost anyone old enough to remember (pre-1985) will tell you that Coke with high fructose corn syrup doesn't have the bite to it had when it was made with real glucose.

And, I miss Vanilla Coke, too. Tried vanilla syrup made for coffee in Coke at home. Not a bad substitute.

And, I like TAB.

Coke, just like any good Southerner! ;)

I usually end up ordering a Dr. Pepper in that case.

RC's my favorite, but hard to find in my area, so I default to Coke. On more than one occasion, when asked "Is Pepsi okay?" I've changed my order to root beer.

Pepsi is the over-sweetened urine of old ladies with kidney disorders, percolated through used coffee grounds and gargled by gorillas to give it fizz before being bottled.

Given a choice between the two, I'll always go Pepsi.. But until Pepsi comes up with a near-equivalent diet drink, I'll stay with Coke Zero..

All that said, Dr Pepper is my fav... Especially a Vanilla DP from Sonic.. Yummo!!

I also like Moxie soda, but that's a another pop for a different forum.. :)

I must be one of the few people who liked the original Crystal Pepsi, before they fucked it up and made it a lousy 7Up knockoff.

I don't drink much soda anymore. When I do, it's basically root beer. Between Coke and Pepsi, I think I liked Pepsi better.

Diet soda is godawful and I won't drink it.

Crystal Pepsi was good! Short lived, but good.

^I liked Crystal Pepsi, too.

Coke is it for me, though I prefer the Mexican Cokes with real sugar. More expensive, and I can usually only get them at Wegman's. I drink Coke Zero most of the time these days, it's the closest to real Coke.

Worst ever- Tab Clear. Ugh.

When I could eat them, I used to enjoy drinking an ice cold Coke with a banana Moon Pie.

Dr. Pepper all the way! Though mostly I prefer the lighter or fruitier sodas, such as 7 UP, orange soda, or strawberry soda.

I haven't seen Coffee Coke in a while.

Anyway, I prefer Pepsi to Coke. Pepsi is sweeter, less tangy, doesn't leave your teeth feeling chalky and seems less fizzy. The other day, I went out to pick up a pizza and they had Coke, but no Pepsi, so I went to the corner store a few doors down to get Pepsi. For me, Coke is only a substitute as an absolute last resort.

As for pop in general, I hardly drink it, but I when I do, I go for root beer.

I drink Diet Coke as the regular is too sweet for my taste. I've always dislike Pepsi. I prefer root beer over cola but I can only buy in it the American sweets shop and it's expensive as hell, so it's a once in a while treat.
