The villain for the final season will be Jackie Chan stealing Daniel's story to make a movie but change it to kung fu, which pisses everyone off and they all join forces to stop him.

With the way Daniel and Johnny are joining forces and essentially creating a new style and getting more and more ridiculous as the show goes on, I'm actually finding less and less of a reason for excluding Jackie Chan. Have the show feature an MMA tournament where the the stakes are bigger. I mean, why are they still only on the All-Valley at this point in time, and where do the champions go next in their world? There has to be something higher up the ladder, a tournament between two states, for instance, which is how they could potentially introduce Julie, and a worldwide MMA competition where they could introduce Jackie Chan and his student. They shouldn't be mutually exclusive.
Considering all the international criminals and magical supervillains they defeated, Daniel shouldn't have any problems with a couple karate senior citizens who are trying to take over the Valley.
The initial appeal of the show for me was the relationship between Johnny and Miguel as representatives of generations. Where Miguel was making Johnny more empathetic and tolerant but Johnny was reminding the next generation that being tough, self driven and assertive was still a virtue even in the age of grievances and lawsuits. At that point the show was making relevant cultural commentary. But since then it’s been more and more nostalgic fluff.
I think what made it hard for me was watching Miguel get seriously hurt. It's not just a shocking scene because of what happens, but because of how visceral it is, and in the end there are little to no repercussions. The most the school got was students getting their bags checked.
I'd completely forgotten about that. It honestly feels like so long ago compared to everything else that's happened.
Woah, I didn't expect we'd get a new season so soon. Kinda fun that you have the 3 main villains of the movies facing off against each other.
Did they move the release up because of Netflix's falling subscriber numbers? I'm sure it will be fun.
It wouldn't surprise me if this is the case. The number of people I know saying that they're leaving when their current favourite finishes just continues to rise.
