CNN.com .... WTF??

So I'm watching online news videos on cnn.com, and I know its primaries today.. and between the videos I saw two ads for Obama...

Isn't there a conflict of interest here?

As long as the ads were bought and paid for, and CNN hasn't shown favoritism towards giving a certain candidate ad time, then that's the way it seems to work in the U.S.

There might be a conflict of interest. It's cable, so equal time laws don't apply and CNN can do what they want.

The equal time law doesn't really apply to commercials as I understand it, merely to interviews and what not. And even there, it is not a requirement, it merely states that if you give time to one candidate, the other candidates may request up to the same amount of time and not be refused.

Commercials are paid advertisements, and the TV station is under no obligation to give away free advertising for any candidate who requests it.

I tend to disagree a little bit. I think sometimes CNN is a bit biased towards supporting Obama, especially Anderson Cooper.
