C'mon Andy

Well, Roddick looks to be in great shape, but yes, he may have a bit of a problem controlling his nerves because it's a Wimbledon final, because he's playing someone who has won against him in the past, because of the prestige, etc. etc.

I'm thinking that his nerves may not be so much of a problem this time, though. Problem is, Roger seems to be morerelaxed than ever, and that spells disaster for Roddick.

With Nadal out of the picture (sadly) I feel Federer senses a golden opportunity to reclaim his World #1 spot if he does win Wimbledon. But I do hope Roddick gives him a good run for his money.

Murray does what most Brits do and bottle it he missed some easy shots mainly near the net and you WLL NEVER win Wimbeldon without being able to play some basic serve and volley game when the occasion calls for it. Murrays crumbles when he bothers to go near the net...

Murray will not win a single Grand Slam with that 2nd serve, its short slow and way to easy to wack back its terrible and the top 10 players in the world can get at you. When Fed gets a 2nd serve he uses to slower serve to his advantage and aims at the corners of the service box sincei ts easier to do with a slower hit ball but Murray always hits it way way to safe and short...If Roddick can nail you with a backarm shot then you have problems with your serve.

FED will win in 3 sets come the final very easy because more pressure in a final, FED is a better returner and will get under Roddick's skin and tire him out so his 1st serves will be less of a weapon. Andy Roddick is a very good player but is too much of a one trick pony, I would call him the good version of what Greg Rusedski should of been. In 3 years when age makes Roddick unable to serve so well he will probably struggle to reach the latter stages of any tournament.

With Nadal back next year Murray better get use to never winning Wimbledon for a while if ever and like any poll I've voted in about him, Murray will never win a grand slam title.

I think Murray really needs to improve on many shots, not just his second serve, to be honest. He has the potential to be a great player but he seems to be sort of... lazy. For lack of a better word. Sometimes during rallies he just limits himself to bouncing the ball back to the other side of the court, no angles, no accelerations, just like a practice, instead of a real match. He needs to snap out of that mentality and play at his full potential all the time.
I don't know if he will ever win a Grand Slam tournament. Only time will tell.

It was a decent match today, but it seemed like Murray lost it more than Roddick won it. Murray has some growing to do, but he's got time.

I think Federer takes the final pretty easily. I'd be thrilled to see Roddick overcome the odds and beat Federer, but I just don't see it happening. Federer is too good.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for Roddick if he loses. After all, he'll still have Brooklyn Decker to go home to for comfort. :scream:

That's not a bad perspective at all.

I think if Federer plays the way he's been playing thus far, Roddick will have no chance at all. Every match Federer has played has been a lesson on how to play tennis on grass. You just can't beat that.

When have we ever had two such epic championship finals in back-to-back years? Roger and Roddick are leaving it all on the corut today, just like Roger and Rafa did last year!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Roger pulls it out. WOW!!!!!!

Corny as this sounds... this was the kind of match where I hate the fact that someone had to lose. An unreal level of intensity and performance and sportsmanship

Another epic contest. Both men played brilliantly. In the end, it was history making stuff from Roger Federer. :bolian:

Greatest player ever? Probably.

Yeah... I'd have to say it. The only thing he has not done is capture the real Grand Slam, but even without it Roger's achieved so much. You can't overestimate the significance of career Grand Slam tournament wins. If he's not THE greatest, he's tied for it. I can't elevate anyone above him

And kudos to Roddick who was so disappointed and pained at coming so close but still able to make the jokes and give tribute to Roger
