closed thread addiction

I have to admit to having a beak at the closed threads too some are kind of funny in a strange wierd sort of way.

So would the OP be happier with this Thread open or closed?

Only if someone gets in a pointless argument that can be tracked for at least 3 pages. Ummm...*stares at ceiling* "The Prime timeline no longer exists and you're an idiot"? Ummm...*stares at shoes* "Athiests are dungheads"? Not sure....*wanders off*

Well, from the looks of things, SPOCKED will continue to close threads without hesitation/reason, so you'll never run out of things to read! :)

Oh you're always wandering off, not facing the non-existant arguement

Sometimes I'm not aware that a thread I'm reading has been closed, but in those cases I'm reading the thread from my 3G mobile phone.

There have been occasions where I've tried to post on a thread that has been closing as I type.

I won't read the entire thread, well unless it has only a few posts, but I'll read like the last several post just to see why it was closed.

That's happened to me a couple of times in the Trek XI forum. Also very confusing is posting to a thread that's in the process of being moved.
I was actually moving a Thread once and got a message that it didn't exist-- because another Mod had beat me by one second. :rommie:

You Mods are quite the competitive types, eh? :guffaw:

I've given up reading the closed threads in TREK XI....they're all the same: blah blah canon blah blah timeline blah blah size of the Enteprise blah blah raped my childhood...

*Sigh* and I was about to regale the board with wild tales from my tenure as a stripper in college...but my chance has fled at the sound of the CLANG :(

** Adopts the "Sharp intake of breath, finger in the air, just about to say something" pose that happens at these moments just before getting slapped on the back of the head as someone says "NO!" **

:D

It's nothing... I just think I have dust in my eye!

Well, we're paid on commission.

Which is why I have to work weekends as a stripper. :(

I love reading closed threads, I only read this one on the off chance it was a rant about a previously closed thread and I'd got here before it was closed/moved.

I'm a bit upset now, truth be told.
