Classic Star Trek toy....

I barely remember it but when I was very young, I remember having a squirt gun like this, or similar to it. I think it broke within a day or two of getting it.

That's so stupid looking...but I want it.

Pretty sure I had that tracer gun and definitely had the Enterprise squirt gun - also had a Phaser 2 squirt gun ( I can remember hunting Hortas with the phaser, lol).
I had one of these. Wish I still did...

Whoa, I had that, completely forgot about it.

I had a Battlestar Galactica one as well.

This one, perhaps?

Huh, I had no idea the term "vertibird" existed anywhere prior to Fallout. Now I wonder if it was named that in the game because one of the writers had the toy as a child?

^

Kirk: Spock, that Orion ship is doing warp 8 in a warp 5 zone!
Spock: One moment, captain, while I don my helmet...

I have a pretty healthy ST item collection and this is actually one I bought directly from the store way back. It is not a ST licensed item and we did have those too. I have a gold one opened with a box of discs also.

My brother and I went through I can't tell you how many disc guns having fights with them. I know there are still discs in my parent's air condition floor vents

I had the Remco Phaser as a kid...

...and felt like a dope when I inserted the batteries and pulled the trigger. Bloody thing sounded more like a communicator being whipped open, producing something more akin to a "chirping" sound rather than a cicada like "shrill"! The audio components were probably "lifted" from an electronic bird in a cage toy that was produced during the 70s.

Yes, the words "Star Trek" were molded into the casing and chromed.

For all its inaccuracies, I liked the phaser that was included as part of the AMT "Exploration Set" model kit.

Sincerely,

Bill

Anyone remember this?

I had the blue version of this exact product as a kid. This is a web image; I wish I still had it:

I saw it in a store when we were out of state on a family vacation and had to have it. Then comes the part were I wracked my little brain trying to recall when this gun was ever seen on Star Trek.

We got home from vacation and I opened it up. It shot really well, good muzzle velocity for a toy, but next thing you know, all the discs have disappeared. Probably policed up and made to vanish by my parents, or else I was just incredibly careless.

That's the exact same one my brothers and I had. You should have been able to buy more discs separately.
I think that the family dog ate all of ours.

Anyone remember this?

I had one of these, and in the gold colour. Way back when I'd play with my Star Trek models (the Enterprise and the Klingon battle cruiser) I used this to simulate torpedoes fired at each ship.

It was a helluva lot of fun! :)
Yeah, I had one of these, although mine was blue. Pitched it as soon as I got my hands on an actual phaser toy from the show, though.

Apparently, it wasn't really necessary that tie-in toys of the 60s and 70s actually, y'know, tied in...

That's very disappointing, especially since the second one's clearly is labeled as official.;)

The chin strap needs work...

Maybe, but as an interesting side note, it puts me in mind of the police helmet in Bread and Circuses. Taking a look at a screenshot from the episode, it appears the only resemblance is in the chin guard itself, but nonetheless that resonance still remains!!

It's amazing what kids will put up with!
"Wow ... with this ray run, I must look just like Cap'n Kirk! Pow!
(I won't cast stones; in my time it was Superman, The Lone Ranger and Zorro.)
