Classic Enterprise TMP style

Wow. That really drives home the beauty of the original design when it is treated with respect and care. I actually think the matte texturing of the TOS-R ship gives it an impression of scale that is diminished with the subtle glossiness on the secondary hull on the TMP model in that final shot.

As much as I love the TMP version of the 1701, I'm increasingly intrigued by what a post-TOS Trek would have been like with the original ship. Or the TMP ship rendered with the subtlety that the new versions of the TOS-R ship feature.

I always liked that music cue from TMP, and that shot of the Big E warping away.

Now we just need to see the CBS-D Enterprise go WHOOSH to warp like the TMP Enterprise. I'm still holding out hope that the final CBS-D episode "Turnabout Intruder" will show the Gray Lady whizzing to warp speed a la the motion picture style... but considering how lackluster the CGI F/X have been lately, I doubt it will happen.
