Clarifications in the Star Trek Universe

it's PICARD not pickerd or pickard or pickarrd. and it's SISKO not Sico or sisco or siscko. AND it's TROI not troy.

LEARN TO SPELL MOTHERF*****S!

Yep, most of the stuff ENT messed with was fanon.

And things that they did mess with, couldn't be avoided. There's no way they could've used "atomic" weapons in the 22nd century.

Hum why not? Gunpowder weapons were used for centuries...
Though as far as we know spacial torpedoes were atomic based..

The only canon violation that I can see in Enterprise was the cloaking device. I'm sorry but it was quite the surprise in "Balance of Terror".
However, using phase weapons and photonic torpedoes was an extremely lame way of not directly breaking canon...
As was encountering Ferengi but not getting their names or anything about them...

Vulcans and such? Saw nothing wrong about them...

Learn to capitalize the start of sentences, motherf*****s! :p

Why did I read that with Samuel L. Jackson's voice? :rommie:

Here's the king of all clarifications:

It's 'Star Trek,' not 'Star Track,' or any other godforsaken corruption anyone who's never seen the show might come up with.

Despite what the canon fundamentalists say, the Vulcans of ENT are not a huge departure from the Vulcans of TOS+.

Actually, they were. And it's not just "canon findamentalists" who thought so. Manny Coto and the S4 writing staff noticed the difference and wrote the Vulcan Civil War storyline to set things right.

It's still a matter of preference, we saw that there were less than nice Vulcans in TOS. We just let ourselves get colored by Spock and Sarek (neither of whom were 100% nice guys either). Coto apparently felt that they needed to be changed, but I don't agree.

Call me a canonista all ya want. I don't call it canon, I call it Mr. Spock. He looms rather large, ya know? The whole mind meld thing alone was bad enough. And please don't forget it was a sex diseased mind meld from a social freak that allowed Capt. Archer to bring peace and the teachings of Surak to all of Vulcan. ... where's the 'barfing' icon?

But hey, whatever. To each their own. Just my opinion. :)

For the last time! The NX-O1 ENTERPRISE was a NX Class vessel, NOT ENTERPRISE Class! And the U.S.S. ENTERPRISE NCC-1701, IS indeed 947 feet long, not 847. (Thanks Praetor!)

I'd like to clarify that the 947 feet figure is still hotly contested, however official it may be.

And can't we pretend Enterprise isn't NX class? :p

That any planet-killing weapon portrayed in Star Trek is significantly more effective at killing planets than a regular photon torpedo-armed starship.

Seriously? I thought that his body was simple regenerated from it's radioactive death and de-aged, then re-aged before they put his mind back into it. To say he was cloned would imply there was still a dead radioactive half Vulcan corpse on Genesis somewhere before it blew up.

I was listening to the commentary by Nimoy during the film. He said that Spock is a clone. It perhaps evolved from a single cell and aged quickly in conjunction with the planet
