Loved everything about the episode cept for the cheesy Matrix I know Kung Fu bit. But even that was awesome, wondering how they will get out of it and Chuck kicking the crap out of everyone. Jeffster was awesome and the firefight too. Love this show. Please come back Chuck. Hope morgan hates Hawaii and comes back too.

I imagine that Morgan will be back in the first or second episode after Anna dumps him (off camera) for a surfer, or some such thing.

Good news was ratings and demos were up yet again. It would be so stupid for NBC to cancel this show. There's just too many reasons not to. I've listed them all time and time again. I mean Home Improvement kicked the living crap out of Seinfeld for 3 seasons, and they were going to cancel it, but when they moved it to Thursdays it became a hit. It's foolish to think that a show like Chuck, with a loyal 6 million viewers week in and week out, wouldn't thrive in time slot with less competition.

Back to topic, the one thing I disliked about this episode was the lack of Charah resolution or, for that matter, gushishness. Gushishness is always a plus. Something in that regard would have been nice considering, oh I don't know, it's like the main point of the show.

Heh, from the moment he started kicking ass, I was waiting on the edge of my seat for that line. Classic!

Of course, when Chuck wakes up the following morning, he won't be able to move. He's not in shape and using all those muscles that way is BOUND to really hurt him physically.

That would a great scene to open the next season -- Chuck unable to get out of bed.
That would be good! Let everyone know right off the bat that there are limitations to what Chuck can do now.

Yeah I gotta agree. I loved pretty much everything about this ep (Casey's "chuck me" almost killed me"), but they really could have done a bit more with Chuck & Sarah. Honestly, I was expecting them to finally hook up in this ep but I guess that'll have to wait. ;)

Actually, with all that has happened the last 3 or 4 episodes, it would be VERY cool if Chuck's dad developed a portable "downloader/uploader" for the Intersect without telling anyone else, so Chuck can be in control of when he is and isn't the Intersect (without telling anyone else, including Casey and Sarah).

Also, there would be the added danger of the effects on Chuck of too frequent "swapping" back and forth.

--Ted (Sorry. All these ideas are from the long-dormant TV writer in me coming out)

His dad did the programming right?

No, his father did not do the programming. He did the initial set-up of the Intersect; however, he spoke to Bryce during the reception, and mentioned that they had reconfigured the Intersect. This new design, and subsequent upgrades, were risky, and potentially dangerous.

So while his father was responsible for the Intersect itself, he did not install it with the newest "kung-fu" programming.

They were kind of ambiguous about if they were together or not. So you could read into it either way. The fact that Chuck was going to propose to Sarah, probably means that they are. Still, I wanted my Charah moment dag nabbit.

He didn't really propose though, he just asked her to go on vacation. Unless you're saying that he was going to propose to her while they were away.

But during the dance it's pretty obvious Sarah was going to say "I don't want any of that. I just want....you," before Chuck's dad ruined the moment.

It's also pretty obvious that even though they can't BE together since Chuck is still the "Asset" at the end of the episode, Sarah's made the decision emotionally that he's her guy (the way she looked at him during the wedding ceremony as she refused to go with Bryce, for example).

But it remains to be seen whether NuChuck will derail it all.

Bryce was apparently dead right... He and chuck were the only two in the room when the interesec was downloaded to chucks brain... if Bryce was not dead his eyes were open... does he have the intersec also

If they're serious about losing the Chuck's-a-nerd notion then they've ruined the show's theme which is that Chuck triumphs for being a nerd and doesn't need to know kung-fu to win.
This.

The writers HAVE to have some plan in place to account for Chuck's new fighting skills. I trust they know that him being able to fight will completely throw off the balance of the show.
I hope so. I suspect they'll make it involuntary like his flashes. Still, making Chuck the brains and the brawn really throws out a lot of what made the show interesting.

I loved the ending. That was all kinds of awesome, numerous cuts or not. Casey's dumbfounded reaction was great.

I don't think kung-fu is going to be a permanent skill, but rather that the new Intersect causes him to react to each situation with the skills he needs to get the job done. In this case, he was surrounded by eight guys, so he flashed and recieved the kung-fu skills. Next time, maybe he'll go undercover as a botanist and he'll flash the knowledge necessary to play that role with credibility. I don't think they're just going to make him into a supersoldier, and I could see a lot of ways that a shifting knowledge base like that could be used for comedic effect, like turning him into a ladies man to seduce a rival spy. Moreso if, like the flash, he has no control over how he acts so it makes him do things he wouldn't normally do against his will, but he can still react to it as its happening like the geeky Chuck we all know and love (he was shocked by the kung-fu the first time he paused, so clearly a new persona doesn't take over as he gains the skills). Imagine if he's terrified of parachuting but suddenly jumps out of the plane completely against his will.

Plus, he'll probably keep his dad's nifty wrist computer to act as active support to Casey and Sarah on missions, so I don't see the dynamic of them taking the lead and him providing backup changing too much except in special circumstances.

I could see the writers doing something like this with much hilarity ensuing. This idea sounds WAY better than having him be a supersoldier.

Let's hope we get to find out one way or the other.

I want to give up on this show but I can't. It's too damn addictive. Week after week, I'm sucked back in. And with that awsome ending, they'll have me back next season.

:scream:

^ It's not "must see TV", yet I must see it.

It should be. Move it to Thursdays NBC! Make it so!
No shit. That would be the best thing they could do.

That would mean that it would go head to head with another show I follow, Smallville. Were I forced to choose between them, sorry Clark and Chloe, but Chuck would win. I would just have to catch Smallville on the CW's website after it airs.

I'd have the same problem if Chuck aired at 9 instead of 8, only with Supernatural instead. I'd probably watch Supernatural just because I hate trying to watch TV episodes on the CW's website.

But if Chuck did move to Thursday, 8 PM would probably be more likely.
