While I don't want them to turn Chuck into a badass, I do think it's time Sarah and Casey started teaching him some moves.

Well, yeah that's kind of what I meant. But it would be funny if somehow The Intersect had like hand-to-hand combat files just for no other reason so Chuck can utter the "I know Kung Fu!" line in Keanu Reaves like fashion.

And if Sarah "teaches him moves" I will gush so hard and so intensely that I'll grow girly parts and start watching Desperate Housewives.

And can you imagine Morgan bending forward, all serious saying "Show me.." :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

God.. i'd kill for such a scene!:lol:

I haven't gushed this hard since the glory days of John and Aeryn. Which, in some ways, this couple reminds me of.
It's because the Unresolved Sexual Tension(TM), so necessary to maintaining dramatic tension, isn't a product of writer manipulation. It's actually inherent in the characters - that's something I haven't noticed a lot of, because it requires that someone put some thought into the characters, and who bothers to do that? Too much like work.

This show and Farscape are two of the very short list of "character based UST" pairs I can name. And it's important that it be character based because UST that is the product of writer manipulation is SO DAMN LAME once you see through their game! :rommie:

I hope they can turn Chuck into badass eventually.

That would betray the character. Chuck must ultimately triumph through superior nerdiness, to prove that nerdiness is mightier than badassness.

I actually grew tired of the Chuck/Sarah thing this episode, mostly on Chuck's end. When the Fulcrum agent asked him if Sarah led him on, told him that they would have a happy future together, I wanted him to say no, as much for him as for Sarah. And that cozy night in in the suburbs he proposed? It works up to a point, but Chuck knows by now that it'll never be that normal between them. Why is he still asking her out and and why is he still so surprised and disappointed when she says no?

Every show has to have their Ross and Rachel. Very few do it well. Chuck does it well. Scrubs, on the other hand...I mean are there any more annoying characters around then JD and Blondie?

Both Sarah and Aeryn are and were colossal cockteases. But I like Sarah way more then I ever did Aeryn who, lets be honest here, was a total mean-spirited bitch. Because sweet and cute cockteases are fun. Mean and nasty ones...not so much.

John Boy also didn't have to deal with Bryce Larkin, The King of All Cockblockers. If this guy was ever at a Playboy party, no one would get laid. Not even Hugh Hefner. He'd go out of his way to make sure of that just out of pure douchy cockblockness.

That would betray the character. Chuck must ultimately triumph through superior nerdiness, to prove that nerdiness is mightier than badassness.
I don't mean "tough guy" so much as make him freak out less. He's been doing this for awhile now. He should be used to all the weirdness. And I agree with another poster it's time for him to learn at least some self-defense.

But mostly, I just want to see him deck Bryce. Just once. In the mouth. Hard.

^ While I don't always agree with your point of view, I have to admit I always enjoy your posts in this thread. :guffaw:

Well, I'm always really amped up when I'm watching Chuck, but when I'm just posting about any TV show I'm pretty mellow. ;)

Same here.

I also love How I Met Your Mother. That avatar is awesome. The part when Robin gets drunk and starts acting REALLY Canadian. Priceless.

^ Yeah, HIMYM is awesome. Actually, it's LEGEN... wait for it... DARY! :D Neil Patrick Harris is just so damn hilarious. The rest of the cast is pretty great too. I've been a fan of Hannigan since Buffy and I really liked Segel in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. And I do have to admit I have quite a crush on Cobie Smulders. The fact that she's a Canucks fan is just a HUGE bonus. ;)
