While I don't want them to turn Chuck into a badass, I do think it's time Sarah and Casey started teaching him some moves.

Well, yeah that's kind of what I meant. But it would be funny if somehow The Intersect had like hand-to-hand combat files just for no other reason so Chuck can utter the "I know Kung Fu!" line in Keanu Reaves like fashion.
And if Sarah "teaches him moves" I will gush so hard and so intensely that I'll grow girly parts and start watching Desperate Housewives.
It's because the Unresolved Sexual Tension(TM), so necessary to maintaining dramatic tension, isn't a product of writer manipulation. It's actually inherent in the characters - that's something I haven't noticed a lot of, because it requires that someone put some thought into the characters, and who bothers to do that? Too much like work.I haven't gushed this hard since the glory days of John and Aeryn. Which, in some ways, this couple reminds me of.
I hope they can turn Chuck into badass eventually.
Every show has to have their Ross and Rachel. Very few do it well. Chuck does it well. Scrubs, on the other hand...I mean are there any more annoying characters around then JD and Blondie? It's because the Unresolved Sexual Tension(TM), so necessary to maintaining dramatic tension, isn't a product of writer manipulation. This show and Farscape are two of the very short list of "character based UST" pairs I can name. And it's important that it be character based because UST that is the product of writer manipulation is SO DAMN LAME once you see through their game!![]()
I don't mean "tough guy" so much as make him freak out less. He's been doing this for awhile now. He should be used to all the weirdness. And I agree with another poster it's time for him to learn at least some self-defense.That would betray the character. Chuck must ultimately triumph through superior nerdiness, to prove that nerdiness is mightier than badassness.
^ While I don't always agree with your point of view, I have to admit I always enjoy your posts in this thread.![]()
Well, I'm always really amped up when I'm watching Chuck, but when I'm just posting about any TV show I'm pretty mellow.![]()
