Funny they never celebrated the holidays on Trek, Never saw an episode yet.

"Data's Day" mentions several holidays being celebrated that day. "Generations" showed Picard's Nexus fantasy Christmas. And don't forget Captain Picard Day in "Disaster".

The second issue of DC Comics' first TNG mini-series featured Christmas and an alien who greatly resembled Dr Seuss's The Grinch.

I remember that. Data in his logs mentions Diwali, the festival of lights. It stuck in my mind because I was watching it will Diwali was going on this year, I guess last year actually.

But since it was a fantasy, it doesn't mean anyone celebrated it in reality?

I disagree with the idea it was only a fantasy and that Christmas isn't celebrated by anyone in reality in Picard's time. Trek canon states that Christmas was celebrated in Kirk's time. In the TOS episode "Dagger of the Mind" we are told that Kirk met Dr. Helen Noel at an Enterprise science lab Christmas party. It is much more likely that Picard's mind used his family's actual Christmas celebrations to provide the idyllic framework to set the scene for his 'family of his own' wish fulfillment.

Warmest Wishes,
Whoa Nellie
