Chris Pine appreciation thread

So... what do you think the selling point of this movie is? :p
Woo hoo! Would it be...this?

So, did you buy the DVD, Aragorn? Thanks for posting.

Edit: at Amazon:
This title will be released on June 1, 2010.
Pre-order now!
Fans could go and put in a good review at its Amazon page.

Are you the one and only so far to leave a review? :);)
Should we all have a date night on June 1 to watch it "together" - given various time zones and such...just sayin'...

So, I just recently found out that Robert Pine is ALSO in Small Town Saturday Night. I didn't know that before. I found out after he popped up in Six Feet Under during an episode I was watching. I went on IMDB to see if he'd been in anything else I'd seen and it had that listed.

beth, that would be me, yes. :D Put in your dos centavos, if you like. Date night would be fun, but we're on vacation that particular week.

Tom, I think Pam mentioned his dad is in the movie, too; btw, where is Pam? I'm surprised she's not right on this.

Alright, as I watch my dvr'd "Smokin' Aces", I have come to this conclusion: I don't like slasher films. Now while this movie may not constitute a bona fide true-blue slasher flick in the horror genre, it is a bit bloody for me. However, c-pine is hot in all his bloodiness. Who thought machetes could be so sexy?!

Follow-up: my sons are playing Rock Band and their current song is "Sabotage"...mmmmm maybe I'll finish up tonight by watching ST:XI again. Sweet dreams, peeps.:techman:

I liked the ending though!

Yes, I did not buy "Smokin' Aces"; I simply copied it off the television. I couldn't quite bring myself to invest in it. As much as anything, I believe it's the nasty dental makeup job. Chris has beautiful teeth.

:D Poor Jim. Pine sold this scene well enough that my mother, who suffers frequent migraines accompanied by nausea/vomiting, had to laugh in sympathy. She said, "Oh, bless his heart! I've had plenty of those days!"

I can't watch this scene now without thinking of my mom's good sense of humor about it... :)

Oh, Tribbles, I am sorry to hear that about your mom. :( But I'm glad she enjoyed the movie. :) She sounds like a trooper.

Thanks, Jeri. She did enjoy the movie a lot, and she and my dad were especially tickled by the scene in that screencap. I think the only thing that made them laugh harder was Bones: "Oh good, he's seventeen." :D

Any guesses as to why?

Two friends and I are going to Comic-con this year and I just learned today that Karl Urban is going to be there to help promote "Priest." I am so excited!!! McCoy is my second favorite in the movie. :adore:
